Popped into this pub as we were in Bristol for weekend. As we frequent real ale pubs we thought worth a visit. Oh dear!! You were first ,greeted, with the over whelming smell of cat pee! Decor needs more than TLC! Cats in window and on the bar where 3cat boxes we're placed. Cats toys on bar and a large... More

Decided to stop by for a drink after walking past. Couldn't have wished for a better pub! There was also a great live band on. Fab selection of drinks, the elderflower cider was superb. The kitties all look relaxed and well looked after, unlike the ones in these 'cat cafes' who all look so stressed. I guess because this is... More

It's a nice little pub selling independent drinks. The prices are a little high but you do get decent quality, and it is central Bristol. There are a lot of cats around, it is nice when one jumps on your lap and entertaining when one is casually wandering across the bar. Only criticism would be that it did smell of... More

Fine selection of beer served in a quirky, characterful space shared by both cats and drinkers. With music on vinyl, board games and good craic it's a great escape from a modern sterile bar.

Called in Friday afternoon small compact pub with plenty of quirky signs/notices eg no silly hats, beards welcome, once the record has started it can't be changed until it's finished. Four large Tabby Cats walking up and down the bar also some asleep. Good selection of real ales had a pork pie and pickles for £1. Seems like a friendly... More

There is much raving about this place so eventually being nearby i took the option. What a disappointment. The barman seemed far more interested in his phone and at best mumbled. The cats are quite neat but there was an all pervading aroma of stale cat's wee. And unfortunately my beer was "dead". As it was my first of the... More

Ha ha this is my kind of pub, a total one off and idiosyncratic in every way.......I'm not going to wax lyrical about the cats as it's all been said below, however lots of other unique touches like the vinyl booth which is there for the customers to use......as long as the rules are followed! Toilets don't look like they've... More

The bag of cats was our 7th pub on the journey of self discovery, pub crawl from Clifton to the centre. I love this everything about this place from the kitten pies to the the record player in the corner, help yourself but follow the rules and of course the cats and great selection of beer. Purrfect!

Visited the weekend just gone after not living in Bristol for nearly 3years & was absolutely delighted to take my girlfriend there & show her what a welcoming, humble & lovely pub it is! Had been a regular visitor to the pub when I lived in Bristol previously & fell in love with the regularly changing ales, the friendly &... More
