What a wonderfull daytrip from Bristol to Bath & Stonehenge! Mary is an excellent guide and had so much to tell about the places we drove trough during the busride. The walking tour of Bath was so good! So glad we booked this tour. Thank you for a lovely day Mary.

My friends and I signed up for the tour to Lacock-Avebury-Stonehenge and had a good trip. The coach was comfortable and the tour was well organised. Mary, our guide gave us information throughout the tour and not just at the destinations. The anecdotes she told as we passed villages and towns made the tour more interesting. Overall well-organised and comfortable tour. Highly recommend if you are considering visiting Stonehenge from Bristol.

In my opinion the daytrip to Stonehenge and Salisbury offered by Greenman Tours is a very good deal. I was staying in Bristol on my own and without a car: in one day I was able to see two wonderful places, with a guided tour and at a good price (even cheaper than renting a car or going by train/bus on my own!). Highly recommended.

I have very mixed reviews about this tour group. It seems to be a relatively new tour group and still has a few things to work out.

Positives
- Nice coach
- Price was fair
- Bus driver was friendly (though I did get a bit sick from the sudden stops. I was told is normal for England)
- We were able to see many amazing sites!
- I was able to see a few interesting sites that were unexpected (like Harry Potter's parent's house)

Negatives (my view - this doesn't mean the tour was bad. It was just not what I expected).
-Group was large (I prefer small group tours)
- Almost 100% self-guided or audio-tour guided with very little from the guides themselves. (This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it felt like they didn't want to interact with the tourists).
-The guides seemed flustered and confused at certain aspects, and they, at times, repeated the same information. - Instructions were not always concise and clear.
-It felt like they struggled at finding the balance between wanting to control the tour and where people went - to giving us the freedom to venture off.
-Later, we were given the one opportunity for a guided tour of our guide's favourite site. However, by this point, we just opted to tour all venues ourselves.
-Often, information was provided while driving that was not clearly explained. We would look for buildings/sites out the window, but we were never clearly shown what or where they were.

Overall, we wouldn't book this tour again because it just wasn't our type of tour. We prefer smaller tours where tourists have more opportunities to get to know each other and where the guides take more opportunities to interact with the customers.

However, the tour's price is reasonable for everything that is provided and we enjoyed the sites that we visited.

Caution, the food at the Cathedral was subpar at best.

I found the daytrip to Stonehenge and Salisbury offered by Greenman Tours a very good deal. For those staying in Bristol without a car, this option is much easier and cheaper than getting to those places by public transport, and you get a guide as well. The organizers did their best to entertain us during the bus trip. I found both Stonehenge and Salisbury well worth a visit, and just enough to fill a day. Definitely recommended.

We chose Greenman Tours because this tour gave us the opportunity to visit several interesting spots in one day without having to drive ourselves: Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, Lacock.
The tour lived up to our expectations. We got to see the sights we wanted to, the guides was very accommodating, every part of the tour was on time, we could choose between following the guide on some parts of the tour or to walk on our own. Beside the places we visited we saw interesting parts of the English countryside as well supported with information from the guide.
Only downside was that we didn't understand the guide fully because of references or special words unknown to us (Danes) or because we lacked the broad view of, where we were.
We recommend Greenman Tours

With a convenient pick up from Bath we began a very thorough and interesting tour which included the above attractions. Mary, our guide, was very knowledgeable, informative and entertaining about all the sites of historic interest along the way. The tour was well paced but did include a reasonable number of stops at good quality venues for meals and toilets. At the first main stop, Salisbury Cathedral, Mary gave us all a good historical insight into all the cathedral's main features particularly the Magna Carta. Stonehenge is a fantastic historical site, the organisers issue a handset for listening to history and background of this world heritage site, enabling the visitor to soak up the atmosphere of this wonderful place. Before we arrived at Lacock, Mary gave us plenty of information about what to look for in what must be one of the most beautiful and most filmed and photographed villages in the country. We concluded our tour in Bath, the standard of driving and the comfort of our coach were outstanding all along the route.
