We had a fantastic time at the cheese, charcuterie and wine matching evening on 3rd July 2015. Ruth was incredibly knowledgeable and so friendly! She answered all of our ridiculous questions and explained clearly how to taste the wine like an expert. We came away with practical info on how to choose wine well, whether in a supermarket or off... More

I'm not a fan of traditional hen parties, so it was a relief to know that one of the activities would be a wine tasting from the Clifton Wine School. The instructor, Ruth, was both knowledgeable and entertaining. She struck the right balance for a hen party with some just wanting a laugh and others wanting to come away knowing... More

We did the wine tasting as part of a big group, and though I knew a little bit about wine (that I like it!) I found this gave me a brilliant foundation in the subject and it was truly fascinating, leading me to take much more interest in the wines I choose and really learning to appreciate them better. Ruth... More

We had a session of wine tasting with Ruth for my friend's hen party and we had the best time. It was informative and loads of fun! There was a quiz and we had to try and identify different kinds of wine which Ruth had paired with some delicious cheeses. She really struck the right balance between entertainment, education and... Excellent presentation by a knowledgable and enthusiastic presenter. No sales pitch. No wines for sale. Just clear explanations backed up by a wide range of mid priced wines to sample. Good venue and nice meal

We had an excellent evening at the Radison Blu in Bristol. Ruth Wiles showed a expert knowledge of Old and New World wines and introduced us to a variety of whites and reds with contrasting nose and taste so we could identify the different qualities. We enjoyed some great cheeses between tastings and generally had a great time. Thank you... More

My friend and I attended on a Friday even in Feb to Ruth's Introduction to Wine tasting course, and what a great few hours we had! We learnt lots about the way bottles are labelled, the grape regions, things to look out for and of course (the main event) the steps to taste a wine. We had a great laugh... More

really enjoyed one of the win tasting evenings with Ruth, who definitely knows her stuff! Informal yet packed with interesting info, and came out of it a little bit more clued up. Would be happy to recommend this to anyone with an interest in the old Vino Collapso :D
