Excellent service. Great price. Umbrellas provided for the rain Hector was a great guide and good fun. Would highly recommend Cambridge Punters.

Brilliant early morning out on the River Cam with Dan, our guide and ‘pusher’ took us smoothly on our river tour of the colleges. Our boat was comfortable and the price, £25 for the two of us, was the best on offer. It was a great way to start our day and time in Cambridge.

Took a tour this morning at 10.40 with Dan at the helm of our punt, we thoroughly enjoyed our first punting experience! 4 of us in our party plus 1 other passenger, so,felt like a private tour. Good information along the route and answered questions in detail. Lovely relaxing morning. Excellent communication re booking, staff on pontoon helpful too.

Dan our guide was amusing and informative. The trip is scenic and interesting. I recommend the front of the boat as it has a great view and it’s great to recline. Mornings seem to be quieter and I’d recommend booking in advance for the best prices. There were other companies that were much more expensive, it didn’t look like they had anything better than this company.

Honestly not ones to complain, but........Booked a shared tour for 10am Oct 2nd. No one turned up! A kind lady from a company next tour contacted Cambridge Punters as she had noticed we had been waiting around since 9.45.
We were told we would go on our tour for 10.30 and someone from the company did contact us after qe had rang them and the advertised number didn't connect.
We then got another message from the lady of the other company to say Cambridge punters would pay for a private tour for us with a different company because there was no one able to take us.
However, we would have been on our own (private tour) anyway, as there was no other customers waiting.
I emailed to voice our concerns and ask for some money to be reimbursed. Part of the reply said we were on our boat trip for 10.05! Er, no, I was there. I know it was 10.40 (at the earliest), which proved difficult with our 2 year old son who had now been waiting around for an hour.
We felt there was a lack of communication and felt let down that no one turned up for our booking. We felt that if it was not for the girl from the next door company, we would have been stood there for even longer. Its like Cambridge Punters just 'forgot' or didn't know about our booking.
We also did not receive a discount for Cambridge Punters wrong doings. Not good.
Although the trip we eventually went on (not with Cambridge Punters) was lovely.

Dan was our tour guide and he was excellent. Well informed and kind.

Amazing private punting tour with Dan 🥳 it was my birthday, he gave a super narrative of the river and beautiful buildings surrounding us. We boarded as a couple and found he chatted enough to keep us entertained but let us enjoy the moments ourselves too.
Will definitely return.
Dani who booked us on was also very helpful with local recommendations and a time suitable for our punt.

Had a really great time today on the river. Dan was brilliant in providing us with a safe journey, factual information and funny stories which coincided with the sights. Make sure to book with this company as there are plenty out there but this one is the best!
