Morning Tour Easter Monday Kings & Queens Colleges 12 - 2pm Thoroughly enjoyed this experience, the lady tour guide gave interesting and just the right amount of facts and information. She included interesting stories and pointed out many things we would have missed on our own. The tour made me proud of our heritage and it was nice to see... More

The tour has been one of the best tours I have ever been in. It was very informative and interesting for all of my family members. Most importantly it covered each and every aspect we requested for.

Sadly, this did not live up to expectations and the three of us in our party felt it was a waste of money. Normally blue badge guides are knowledgeable. However our guide knew little about the lighting installations we were supposed to visit or who were their creators. We were told there was meant to be a connection between them... More

Thank you for your feedback, I must admit I do agree with your summary, our guides are experts on the City of Cambridge and this is where they excel. Each year we are asked to help with the Festival but the information we request on the installations and creators is not always forthcoming from the organisers and the guides are... More

We had a similar experience to another reviewer in that we had an excellent tour of Oxford a couple of years ago and expected similar in Cambridge. Our guide was good in as much as she was knowledgeable about the subjects and ensured the group (of approx 18) stayed together. However we spent rather too much time on a few... More

I'm sorry you felt disappointed with the tour but thank you for taking the time to leave a review as it helps us develop our service. The tour can seem expensive at £18 per person but it does include up to £11 in entrance fees making the 2 hour element of the tour just £7. As the entrance fees make... More

Took two walking tours - one of Kings and Queens Colleges, and the other of one of the libraries. The first was outstanding - friendly and very knowledgeable guide, who also brought her personal perspective. The second was also very good, although the guide wasn't quite as warm. Definitely worth it!

Though expensive this tour was well worth it. They get booked up early so if you want a specific time/date probably best to book online or phone beforehand. Morning tours tend to do Kings and Queens Colleges and afternoons Kings snd Pembroke. Beverley our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and Kings Chapel was amazing!

We had been on a similar tour in Oxford and were very impressed by the guide who was interesting and knowledgeable, in fact we would have liked a longer tour. We were therefore looking forward to learning all about the colleges and history of Cambridge. Unfortunately our Cambridge guide was vague, her delivery was disjointed and there was no structure... Thank you for takin the time to leave your review, however I am very concerned with the contents. Our guides as in Oxford are trained for a year and examined thoroughly before they are awarded the City badge and should therefore be extremely knowledgeable. If possible can I ask you to contact me on tours@cambridge.gov.uk so I can discuss your... More
