I don't think it's possible to go to Cambridge and not see King's College. Scratch that--it's actually NOT possible. The largest and most well-known college of the University of Cambridge is a sight to see, drawing students and tourists from around the world. Marvel at the architecture. It's King's College, it's a delight, unique and special. This college epitomizes what... More

King's college Cambridge is a must see attraction for its lovely building, Chapel and grounds.. Ticket cost is 9 pounds. Children below 12 have free entry with family. Ticket price includes a visit to the Chapel where you will see an exhibition of the history of the College, the world's largest fan vaulted ceiling and the Adoration of the Magi... More

I enquired at the gate of the college about the location of the visitor centre for ticket sales and the member of staff took his time in acknowledging my presence before pointing and saying 'over there' and turning away to chat to a colleague. In the visitor centre I bought my tickets from a largely silent woman who refused to... More

Thank you for your review. We aim to give all our visitors an excellent experience when visiting King's College, but clearly on this occasion we fell short of that. I do hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you to King's in the future and improve on the experience you had this time. More

Walking through King's College on my way to lectures was often the highlight of my day when I was doing my degree, and with a Camcard, available to alumni and Cambridge residents, access to King's College is relatively easy, and free. For tourists, however, there are often strict restrictions on access, and I think there may be a small charge.... More

The Chapel, started in 1446 by Henry VI and took over a century to build. It has the largest fan vault in the world and some of the finest medieval stained glass.

We came here for a business dinner and found the staff very attentive and knowledgeable about their products. We ate in the Saltmarsh Rooms which are arranged like a private state apartment. The food was excellent and the drinks menu complimented the food perfectly. All this in an astonishingly beautiful campus of ancient buildings. Quite a grand experience.

The buildings of Cambridge University, and King's college in particular, remind me more of a medieval castle than a college. You can go inside for a few pounds to see things up close.

Many people have written about the beautiful chapel but to see it at it's best and in historical context , try going to Evensong. This is a religious ceremony of about 40 minutes and is free of charge at 5:30 in the evening (you need to get there around 5pm) . It will transport you back in time several hundred... More

Visited with 25 other people , truly amazing Buildings, amazing architecture. Well worth a visit . It was sunny day and the sun on the beautiful stained glass windows was amazing. We had the most amazing meal in the Saltmarsh suite at Kings college. Amazing service and food was exceptional.
