Founded in the early 1900s, we are Cambridge's oldest and friendliest punting company.

We founded pleasure punting in Cambridge and have hired boats along the famous College Backs and on the scenic route towards Grantchester village for over 100 years.

As the first company in Cambridge to offer chauffeured tours of the College Backs, our VisitEngland award-winning services include both our boat hire and our College Backs Tour.

Discover how the city has evolved from medieval market town to world-class centre for education whilst enjoying spectacular views from the river - the ideal introduction to the city's inspiring history.

With a free afternoon from our tour, my wife and I decided to go punting on the Cam. First, we tried a small punting service, Cambridge Chauffeur Punts, which told us a ride would cost 14 pounds apiece (Concession rate). Unfortunately, we were going to have to wait an hour to take the tour, so the person at CCP suggested... More

Booked this along with the bus trip. Definitely worthwhile. The weather was very cold so we were worried it would be cancelled. Not only was it not cancelled but we were provided with blankets and hot water bottles and were very cosy. Lots of fascinating information and lovely views. Bad points.....I got a numb bum.

We braved a wet, cold day during a day trip to Cambridge to punt along the Cam river. It was well worth it. We got blankets and hot water bottles and thoroughly enjoyed our punting trip. Niko was so engaging and fascinating with his non-stop commentary. Whilst I had many questions, I was too wrapped in his talk that I... More

We went on a sunny January day so there weren't loads of people, we were given a blanket and a hot water bottle and taken on a lovely trip thanks to an informative young man.

Professional company who gave us a good price as we were a party of 7. Very enjoyable even though it was December and a bit chilly as it was sunny and they gave us blankets and hotties. Take some bread for the ducks as they are quite cheeky!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. We were provided with hot water bottles and blankets, which were a welcome addition on a very cold morning. Our guide Andre, was excellent. Very informative with a sense of humour. Well worth the money.

We went on a very cold morning at 9:30 AM after we had pre-purchased our voucher online through Scudamore's website. Family voucher for 5; 2 adults and three children (ages 14,13,10) was around £53. We waited for the 10 AM tour. We were lucky that only two other people shared the tour with us at that time. The tour guide... More

Had a great 45 minute winter ride up and down the river cam with very good guide called Tom giving great info and with good humour. Got tickets on board Cambridge sightseeing bus for 14.75 uk pounds. Well worth it. Great way to see the colleges of the famous uni.
