Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went to Cambridge University as a student on their law progromme 1991-1994.

1. Teaching - appalling, old fahshioned, on the whole very old male lecturers. One of my colleages decoded to miss all lectures and got a 1st
2. No diversity - I was told by school in advance, Canford School in Wimporne (many of whom were racist - not to apply for Kings Collige that it is "pinko". (I'm half English and half Brazilian)
3. Very, very competitive students many who would swan in from the private schools and expect to working to the next step - their interitance.
4. More serious is the bullying. I tried to vary lunch and dinner with my friends, but a crowd led by Johathan Moffett amd js "friends" (often in Man City gear) deliberately made exceptional noise at might, and actively bumped into me in the corrifor at dinner time, stared point blank in a hostile manner at me in a attempt to intimidate me. The senior staff did nothing.

All in all please choose the best colleagues you can. Find a group of friends qluickly. Don' frequent the areas where the bullies (mostly from the North). Try and epxand you group away for Hong Kong groups and you will develop more as a person. Don't be seem on your own often (and definitely dinner)/ You must remember that these are average academics coming from prefect roles at their last school who by and large know each other.

It can be one of the best experineces in the world - a lot of thinking can go a big way to help you!

Found buildings and structures very architectural.
Cyclist rule the pathways, pedestrians are none existent to them. Witnessed two collisions and nearly got knocked over walking along river and in park. So would not revisit.

Too packed, it's like London. Walking the river punt sellers pester the life out of you I hated it. It's more like Morocco! Every seller approaches you to sell sell sell. City is lovely this spoilt it for me.

We were so happy to just pass by when a group of graduates arrived. The mere respect for tradition is stunning. Beautiful buildings, of course, as well!

The exterior of the University buildings are quite beautiful. You are very very limited in where you can walk to even see the exteriors and can't go in to any of the buildings and most don't let you even walk around outside in the courtyard. While the University itself was disappointing, Cambridge is still worth a visit. Loved the punt tour and the pubs are awesome.

We stayed at Wyng Gardens on Thompson’s Lane. Breakfast (included for an extra price in your reservation at Wyn Gardens) was served in the Trinity Hall Dining Room, about a 5 to 10 minute walk away. It was wonderful. A substantial breakfast, served cafeteria style. The most noticeable thing was the utter quiet of the quad after we entered from what was normally a busy street (Trinity Lane) first thing in the morning. There is also a lovely garden there, peaceful and sheltered.

There are many college buildings around the centre for you to go in and enjoy the architecture. A great way to spend a day in Cambridge.

I have been to Cambridge a few times as a tourist. It is very accessible since there are very frequent fast trains from London. It is certainly a good day trip from London with a number of highlights including The Fitzwilliam Museum, the Botanic Gardens, Kings College as well as the River Cam. The open air market provides numerous cheap lunch options and there are many cafes and restaurants. I find it is very full of tourists and students and doesn't come across as a working town. If I have to make a choice between coming here and going to Oxford I would choose Oxford.

Architecturally stunning buildings and the colleges are all around the city. Easy to find but the staff could loosen up a bit and remember they don't own the buildings and are there to help!.
