Doing a walk along the river Cam is a bit complicated in the center area because you must zig zag because of the colleges. But it is worthwhile and enjoy the always active rowing clubs and park areas as you go on eastwards.

Visiting Cambridge for the day as a pre University visit and enjoyed a stroll along the river. Didn't go for a punt, perhaps next time!

The river Cam, whichever part you visit is wonderful to walk along, punt or row on and great to look at especially from one of the many bridges in Cambridge. The backs give a wonderful view of the colleges and a gentle paced stroll is...More

The river cam is a central part of Cambridge and had some nice scenic spots. Lots of history asking the river.

One of the most charming experiences in Cambridge...in any season. I always enjoy my fav walk here from the Newmarket Road/TESCO along the Cam River all the way to the Magdalene Bridge... bikers, walkers, rowers, and punters.....swans, ducks, and pigeons... houseboats, rowboats, and punting boats......More

Punting is probably the best way to see some of the colleges. You can share a punt which is driven by a guide, or you can get your own! *TOP TIP* make sure you watch the guide boats and observe their technique before taking on...More

Loved our visit to Cambridge, so much history and a pretty town. Quaint busy pubs and every turn. We enjoyed some Scrumpy Jack at a few of them.

Had a great early morning session down on the Cam resulting in several double figure pike, the biggest weighing in at 17.3lb. I'll definitely be back to this wonderful river.

Don't look around the back of the River Cam in Cambridge. Around Newnam trees are falling all over the place. Whilst it could be argued that letting fallen trees rot down to help the environment, my view is that it looks like a hurricane has...More
