The award winning Cookery School was founded in 2008. Our passionate team offers inspiring and hugely enjoyable classes for every age and level of cook as well as team events, private parties, culinary trips to Italy and Sweden and DofE Gold award courses. The contemporary café/wine bar/deli/bakery opened in 2015 and offers hand made "slow" food made from seasonal, local and often organic produce amidst beautiful Scandinavian design. There is south west facing outdoor seating overlooking the greenery of Homerton Gardens.

I treated myself to the class and of the six of us taking the class I was the only one who hadn't been given it as a gift and it would certainly be perfect for that. The tuition was very good and there was always some one there to advise and encourage. We worked in pairs or groups of three... More

The food is amazing and worth every penny! One of the best cafés in Cambridge and the atmosphere is great.

My daughter and I ate here after finishing the 'chocolate lovers' course in the morning which was great fun with a very knowledgable Mama Bombon. During the course we watched the chef tirelessly prepare loads of mouth watering breads and pastries in the kitchen - So decided to stay for lunch. It did not disappoint, my daughter had the gorgeous... More

A delightful, light, airy room, in a quiet tucked-away place. I went there the other day though, for a morning coffee, and was surprised to find it completely empty. (OK, it is tucked-away, but it is very close to schools, colleges and houses full of coffee lovers). When I looked at what was on offer - cakes, small and not... More

Dear Danny, you were lucky to be here early enough for us to be empty. From mid morning over lunch and into the evening when we become a Bistro and wine bar, we are usually so busy we struggle to seat people. Unlike almost every other café, we are an artisan bakery and produce all our baked goods inhouse. We... More

Whilst the food is great and the cafe looks lovely, going there has been marred by poor acoustics (causes no doubt by all those hard surfaces) and excessive noise levels especially on busy weekends. I can tolerate quite a lot but if you actually can't hear the waiter or the people you're with then something isn't quite right. More positively,... More

As a birthday present for a big birthday my husband bought me a ticket on The Cambridge Cookery Schools 'Truly Truffles' trip. Also on the trip was two of my best friends and two people we had not met before, NIcky & Angus, who are now firm friends. We arrived at Ancona airport in the Le Marche area of Italy... More

We had been here when the cafe first opened and the staff seemed to care and wanted to make you feel comfortable. That didn't happen this time. When our flat whites arrived we queried the drink as it was essentially a shot of espresso and the cup was then filled with milk. We were promptly given the definition of a... More

Dear Wanderlust. You are a returning customer and I know you gave us a very positive review earlier this year. We have over the past year grown to become very popular, constantly receiving wonderful reviews for our home made food and hand baked breads and cakes. Consequently, we are at times very very busy. Many of our guests come from... More

Visited here a couple of times for lunch and although the food is great the portion sizes are far too small and have come with just two tiny pieces of bread. This isn't really value for money as it's not cheap. Both times I've come away feeling like I've had a snack rather than lunch. That puts me off coming... More

All our food is lovingly handmade by our team of skilled chefs and bakers, using local, often organic and always seasonal produce. This includes our breads; the much complimented sour dough and Swedish dark rye; the Focaccia, the seeded Rye crisp bread, the slow risen Brötchen, the 36-hour Croissants, the cinnamon rolls and all our cakes. Dishes where bread takes... More

Tucked away close to Homerton College it's not easy to find but the food is worth the search - it's totally delicious (currently tucking into the poached egg and smashed avocado on sourdough) - everything on the plate tastes like it's been picked/baked this morning, I guess it's a cookery school so I shouldn't be surprised.
