I'm very glad we signed up for this tour. Sam was a great guide, hilarious and engaging. Despite the extreme cold and fogginess, I don't regret going on the tour. If you do go in the winter months though, no amount of layers is too many -- it does get quite cold. They have blankets on the boat as well, which helped. The views might have been better in the summer months, but I imagine it was more quiet and peaceful in comparison too.
I had made a mistake when booking and they very kindly adjusted the booking dates at late notice. thanks a lot again!

The punting tour was great. Gives one an opportunity to see, learn and appreciate Cambridge from a different angle. Despite the cold, it was still a pleasant experience, and Sam, the tour guide was awesome. Would certainly recommend it. xx

We had a fantastic tour along the river with our guide George. Very informative while also fun and extremely friendly! Scenery is beautiful.

Great way to see Cambridge University as much is off limits to the public. Great history and amazing views. Great for the solo traveler!

Our chauffeur Will was amazing. Very informative, funny and made the experience perfect! Stunning views, blankets are provided! So relaxing. Recommend to anyone to book :) will 100% be coming back in the warmer months. Thank you

Booked the shared tour one sunny October afternoon with my partner. Our tour guide was George who had such great energy and real passion about sharing all the juicy facts and stories about Cambridge and its history. He was very engaging with the audience and the digs at Oxford University were great. Expert skills navigating the river Cam also - no man overboard which was a bonus :)

Joseph did an amazing job engaging with everyone. His knowledge of the University was extensive and he had lots of funny anecdotes. The only change I'd like is to make it longer! Highly recommend.

A fabulous experience from meeting Michelle who arranged out punt tour to Sam our punt operator.

Hi. I understand that it is possible to board at several stations. Do you also get off from where you get on the boat? What is the price per person at the end of June and is it advisable to book places in advance for the end of June? Regards, Ariel

Hi, we’d like to experience punting in Cambridge but we have three small children (4 year old twins and a baby). I’m sure they’d enjoy it but I’d be worried about them disturbing the other passengers.

Do all the Punt companys do the very same thing ? and same length of tour ?, just price being a difference, want to come Thursday 4th Oct, a swift reply would be good so i can book

Pretty much! Personally I would avoid Scudamore as they are the most expensive with the most ‘scripted’ tour whereas the other companies you can get better deals and they adapt the tour to suit the crowd.
Highly recommend this company in particular, but most tours are same length as same stretch of river, I would always book a guided tour and avoid punting yourself as can sit back and relax and take in all the info and beautiful sights!
