This is an interesting and informative self-guided tour that covers the man and the times. The only issue was that the tour tries to draw opinions on the man without giving full details of his exploits!

If you know anything about the British Civil Wars this isn't going to tell you much about Lord Protector Cromwell. But the video on the draining of the Fens was fascinating and very well produced.

Nice little visit here as my children have been interested in Oliver Cromwell and Charles II. The kids got the chance to dress up and practice writing with a quill which they enjoyed and seeing how a house looked in 'the olden days'

Went there after visiting the OC museum in Huntington. Amazing experience. Well planned. Cost could be cheaper for what you see.

From outside it looks good but you can cover the whole house in about half an hour using the audio not that much to look at but what was there was interesting cant say it was value for money but it killed some time

Saw the signs pointing to Oliver Cromwell's House when we visited Ely Cathedral. Its only a short walk away and a lovely historic house. There are information plaques on the outside but sadly it wasn't open by the time we arrived so will be back...More

I was actually visiting family in Ely with my mother. It was my mother who suggested visiting the house and although I love history, particularly around early Cromwell / Tudor and Oliver Cromwell times , I really wasn't keen. We had a long commute back...More

Sorry for the late reply... You'd be fine with the downstairs of the house as far as I can remember, but I'm pretty sure there was no wheelchair access to the upper area... Probably best if you contact them to make sure... More
