CAMRA Pub of the Year, City Pub and Cider Pub 2016 We sell real Ales straight from the barrel, no pumps, the beer is directly tapped. Our beers are mainly from Micro Brewery's and are mostly local, although we get ales from further afield when we can. At weekends we have been known to have 9 real ales available at the same time. We also sell a selections of local real ciders usually 15 on the list if not more. (cider pub of the year locally 2015) We offer some craft lagers in bottles and a also sell almost every flavour of the Ely Gin Companies Gin,plus wine and presecco . Order at the bar and we deliver to your table. We also sell when available Pork and Gala Pies, Sausage rolls, and we now do Cheese and also charcuterie plate (again when available) We recently featured in Which Travel magazine as a place to visit in Ely being described as a cross between a pub and a museum

The staff are friendly. The decor is fascinating and sometimes amusing. The beers and ciders are excellent. The location is convenient. In a sentence: cosy, atmospheric and no screens of any kind! In a word: a haven.

Haven’t visited during the week but at weekends there’s a friendly, lively atmosphere, without the pushing & shoving found in larger establishments. Comfy seating with books & games as an added bonus. Dogs welcome too, which is great considering it’s proximity to the river &...More
