Thank you very much Jackie for an enjoyable and informative tour of Guernsey. We appreciated you sharing your personal and in depth knowledge and interesting stories of people and situations from paticularly the war years.
We loved the beautiful wind swept vistas, the bunkers and the lifestyles of the residents. It is quite different from our way of life in Queensland, Australia. Indeed, you live in a beautiful and interesting place and share it in an enjoyable and professional way.
Thank you for the tour. Our trip to Guernsey and your tour has given us some wonderful memories to share with our loved ones.

We booked Jackie Ward for a St Peter Port walking tour and let her know we were interested in learning a bit more about our family history on Guernsey. Even before we arrived Jackie started to email us family information and photos. Communication with Jackie was terrific before during and after our tour. She is indeed a Guernsey history and genealogy expert. She led us on a tour of St Peter Port that was well planned showing us numerous family sites of interest. She also introduced us to a distant cousin that happened to be working in his shop in town. Jackie is very personable and kind and took a sincere interest in our family history. We knew for sure Jackie was a perfect choice for us when on more than one occasion after stopping to talk with folks they told us “Jackie is the best guide on the island”. We couldn’t agree more!

Jackie Ward offers such a nice array of tours. We chose a 4 hour driving tour (her car) and we pretty much covered the entire island. She was in touch with me well in advance asking about our interests, then tailored the tour around those. We hiked along the bluffs, had tea in a quaint seaside setting, really got an understanding of what happened to Guernsey during the occupation, and at my request saw herds of Guernsey cows. Jackie is a fun person to be around and you will much enjoy any tour you book with her.

The best tour experience we have ever had. Jackie customized our tour of Guernsey Island to what we waned to see and made sure we were not at te various sites with bus loads of people. What a tremendous guide with her knowledge of the history of the island making every stop an enjouyable and educational experience.
If you want the best experience in a tour of Guernsey then your best bet is hiring Jacvkie Ward as your tour guide. On a scale of 1 to 100, you get a 100 point guide in using Janckie.

We are locals and a tour with Jackie was an amazing discovery of our own island. The tour was designed around what we were interested in and the amount of research and knowledge that Jackie had was amazing. On the worst weather day in Guernsey yet this August, she catered the tour perfectly to 3 adults (one who couldn't walk far) and a teenager. Would highly recommend!

We did a work event and went for the Waking the Dead tour with Jackie. The tour itself was great providing us with background history and stories about the sites visited. The walk was at a good pace and the team enjoyed it.
Jackie was lovely and kept everyone engaged with cool/fun facts, sharing personal experiences and keeping the interactions with all.
I would definitely recommend.

Our tour with Jackie was the highlight of our entire trip to Guernsey and London. My mom and I have been planning a trip to Guernsey forever and we contacted Jackie late last year to book a half-day tour around the island. My Great-Uncle (who raised my mother) was born and raised in Guernsey so we always wanted to see where he was from. I was amazed at how much Jackie researched about my Great-Uncle before we got there and even sent us videos of his previous residences or the streets where he lived. She even picked us up at the airport the day we arrived and took us to see my Great-Uncle's mother's grave because it was close by. The actual tour was fabulous. Jackie's vehicle is super clean and very roomy and comfortable. She made frequent stops around the island (most of it tailored to areas of interest with regards to my uncle) and was very accommodating to any requests we had (including stopping to get some wine!). We truly feel like we have found a new friend and have been singing her praises to anyone we meet. You will not be disappointed if you hire Jackie... I cannot imagine anyone better!

I cannot recommend Jackie highly enough. We had a 4 hour tour of the island with her on probably the foggiest day in months but still saw so much
She is incredibly knowledgeable and has a justifiable passion for homeland, She is so friendly and we felt we had known each other for years
She does tours to the other islands and we would happily have booked her had we more time
Plus - if you want to get married there - not only does she know the best places on the island ...she can officiate!

Very enjoyable walk around St Peter Port viewing different cemeteries and their history. Also discovering the location of a cemetery which I'd heard of but had no idea where it was! A very informative tour by Jackie and despite the weather she was able to hold our interest throughout the walk.

Excellent all around! My guide , Jackie Ward, put together a tour that had all I wanted to see and more..I had limited time in Guernsey and Jackie squeezed in plenty of sights & sites! The graveyard for "honourable" Germans was a huge hit for me! I whole heartedly recommend this guide..

Hi, are you available on 7 July? Looking for a tour to last around 3 hours - St Peter Port 12th century Castle Cornet> Little Chapel> Pleinmont cliffs> Guernsey Pearl - something like this but can look at other suggestions. Three people including an 88 year old. How much do you charge? Thanks so much!
