we did this before the pandemic and have to say that from the top deck you certainly see a lot if the city. It takes about 45 ,minutes to go round and on a day pass you can squeeze in a second trip later in the day. Chester is a very photogenic place so make sure you have a camera or cell phone to record it.

Lovely end to a nice Cheshire week break by joining the tour bud and learning a little more about the city. Lucky to get some nice weather with loads of space. A little disappointed when booking via Tripadvisor the advice was to go to the station stop to redeem the online voucher for the tickets however there is no place to redeem the voucher, you have to join the bus and the driver photographs the voucher. This wasn’t explained at all in the instructions. Overall lovely tour as always and good to see more and learn more about the city.

Tour was excellent and the bus was clean and tidy. Only down side was the driver was extremely rude and arrogant. He was a bald, scouse sounding man. If you can ignore that it was a great day out. The additional boat trip is a must.

We arrived quite late in the afternoon so took the £10 ticket. I wish we had time for the boat trip and had that been an option on the 48 hour ticket we would have gone for it, The driver was very helpful and having the commentary on speakers rather than head phones was a great improvement. Chester is a very interesting and picturesque city and the bus took in all the attractions. A great way to get a feel of the place.

We arrived at chester bus station and was greeted by the extremely friendly and helpful Peter. We had been unable to print our tickets but peter was more than happy to help us redeem them and reccomend other things to do, such as the boat ride up the Dee, which we also did. Peter is an excellent representative of your company. As a pro tip, the boat tickets where also cheaper by booking through the bus, which is helpful for those who like to mix up their activities throughout the day. Our little one (1 yr old) loved the open bus tour and giggled her way through. I enjoyed the interesting facts on the tour and it was a lovely sunny day, which also helped! We hoped off and on the bus at different spots, such as town centre and pier. The busses where frequent and great for some of the tourist spots. We happened to get back on the bus after our boat ride and met peter again, who was his normal friendly self. We rode the bus around 1.5 times and finished our tour at chester bus station. The route is Excellent for the park and ride busses that stop right next to the sightseeing bus. The bus also stops at the train station, so handy access for anyone who travels in to Chester by public transport. The tour took around 50min per loop, with around 20-30mins between each bus.
