We are a family of 4 and we’re looking for something to do to give our walk around Chester a bit more purpose. This treasure hunt was perfect for that, given pubs and shops were closed (due to lockdown). The treasure hunt itself is simple to follow and the instructions are are clear. It was all delivered to our phone, so no messing about with pens and paper. Some of the clues are quite challenging but there are ‘hints’ available which keeps things fun when you’re stuck. The walk took in some great sites and there is some history to read through as you go, which the kids loved. I’d really recommend this if you’ve got a family looking for something to do in Chester on a day out. It was loads of fun, and just the right length.…

This is our second Treasure Hunt (we've also done Liverpool) and we enjoyed this one even more than the first! We live in Chester and know our way round pretty well but we were surprised by how much we didn't notice that the treasure hunt pointed out. Highly recommended.

My family and I loved treasure hunt Chester and had a fun day out playing it. The route was pretty and showed us the best of Chester. There were lots of interesting buildings and alleys that the hunt showed us which I had not noticed before despite having lived in Chester a few years ago. Solving the clues was really satisfying and it was lovely to do it with the family and feel like a team. Chester is a great city to do it in because it has such wonderfully ornate details there is loads of quirky stuff to spot. I liked that we could go at our own pace and stop for coffee or lunch whether we saw a nice spot. We took a buggy with our baby daughter and we appreciated that the route was accessible for us with dropped kerbs and no steps. All in all we had a great day out and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Chester or see it in a new way.…

The Chester treasure hunt was a really fun activity to do. We loved puzzling out the clues and each one of us was able to contribute something to solve the puzzles. This activity was a great way to explore the city and we spent four hours on the treasure hunt, with leisurely stops for lunch, coffee and ice cream but equally , if you wanted to challenge yourself against the clock, you could skip the food breaks! One of the best aspects of the treasure hunt was the fact that it took us to parts of the city we did not know about and would have missed if we were just exploring by ourselves and it also provided interesting facts and anecdotes about these areas. On a previous visit to Chester, we just ambled rather aimlessly but the treasure hunt provided a focus and also enabled us to find eateries and coffee shops just off the main streets which we would not have stumbled upon by ourselves. The clues were varied and provided just the right element of challenge. I liked the ‘ hints’ option which you could press if you were stuck which gave just enough information to help you solve the next clue. This is a great activity to do when COVID restrictions are eased as it is all outside.…
