This is, I believe, a branch of the Shropshire Union Canal and joins the River Dee at Chester. Like with all canals, the pace of life seems to slow down here and there are pretty walks to be had along the banks/tow path.

Beautiful quiet and tranquil. Everyone seems to enjoy walking along this canal , let alone chug down it in a barge.

I was lucky to get photos of some great reflections in the canal. It has some historically important buildings beside it. I also enjoyed talking to the people in their boats on the canal at the lock

Four seniors, two of whom live near to the Hospital, suggested that we walk into Chester along the towpath. I really felt that I should write and say how beautifully everywhere is kept, and the tarmacadam tow path was a delight to walk on. Wildlife...More
