We walked through the garden whilst exploring Chester. It's a lovey space and although not very large, well worth a visit. Although the gardens do not contain the original locations of the Roman remains, they are laid out well and with interesting information to read. It leads down to the river which is a nice place to walk along as... More

This garden runs alongside the Chester wall, it is made up of roman artifacts but was not an actual roman garden originally but still educational and worth a visit. It is quite small so will not take up much of your time.

You tend to forget that the Romans have been that far as Chester at that time. And they left something: Roman Gardens and a theatre that is the biggest one of the country. Very interesting.

An opportunity to see part of The Roman Heritage of Chester walking through the Ruins of the old Roman City. Take your sandwiches to eat in the lovely surroundings. The gardens are just next to the park if there are no seats left.

Very pleasant to walk through the Roman gardens towards the river Dee. Lots of seating areas and a 'Roman guard' explaining some of the features of the time.
