Having fished this fishery for many years I returned to fish with my grandchildren who are 9 And 11, the place had all been revamped and the tidied up and looked very smart,we met the owner a nice enough young man very knowledgeable of his fishery and told us were best to fish. We set up shop and started to fish and the owner appeared we paid for our day and away we went, but then owner seemed to keep coming over and telling us that we need to do this and we need to that at his fishery, to be quite honest being a fisherman for over 45yrs it was wearing a little thin by the end of the afternoon. The owner had put up a 1mtr wooden and wire fence up to keep his dogs in, which was all well and good but they looked like Doberman / Rottweiler cross about 18 months old very big and playful, but every time someone went passed the fence the dogs would lurch at the fence growling and snarling at the fence, so much so my grandchildren would not go past because they were scared incase they would jump over and bite them. So our so called day out at Lloyds Meadow Fishery was not a great one or enjoyable at all and my grandchildren who are very keen and capable fisherkids say they do not want to return their any more as didn't feel safe and this was my thoughts to, so returning to this fishery will be very unlikely in the near future.

We're do I start been fishing at lloyds for more than 7 years always had a great day at a good place but the last 2 times weren't that good few to the new owner with his way of speaking to you and keeps looking at your fishing tackle this time I decided to try it one more time to see if it changed and was spoken to the the owner as if I was stupid in front of my kids with a terrible attitude and snotty sarcastic remarks about my cheap fishing tackle so myself and family of 6 members have all decided not to bother him anymore if that's the way he runs his business

I have to say I am well pleased with finding this fishery. I have recently retired and taken up fishing again. Upon arrival I was looking at the lakes and the owner came out and gave me a personal tour of the lakes describing each one( now that is service). Due to the weather (it was 3 degrees celcius) he advised Kingfisher lake due to its good stock of silver fish, and it didn't disappoint as I had bites all day,and caught well.I also had the pleasure of sharing the lake with a heron(who helped himself to lunch) and a robin who lived up to his name by stealing my bait all day. With the sound of Woodpeckers( or was that my teeth chattering?) and rabbits playing by their burrows , this was a wonderful location to fish.I intend to return on many occasions in the very near future and watch the seasons turn and change in this lively part of Cheshire

I wouldn’t bother visiting if you have children.
Owner clearly doesn’t like kids but happy to take their money, some miserable older fisherman who won’t say hello (even quietly...) and two huge, aggressive dogs that you have to walk past to get to two of the lakes which growled and snarled at everyone who walked past.
Give it a miss.

I visited Lloyds Meadow Fishery today for the first time and was most impressed. There are 4 well stocked, and beautifully landscaped, lakes. I saw a number of good sized carp being caught during my stay. The site is large enough for anglers to choose solitude or enjoy the company of others. There is ample car parking space, the toilet blocks are clean and modern and would appeal to lady anglers. I met with the new owners who are delightful and gave me a lovely welcome. They are keen to run a professional business but also want to promote a friendly atmosphere and welcome both solo anglers and families. They told me they are looking to hire out equipment in the future to cater for people visiting Cheshire and wanting to try something new. A great day out for the family..

Lloyds meadow is a beautiful fishery with excellent toilet facilities.
We had a great family day fishing with my 2 sons (14 & 17).
There are 4 lakes in total, we started fishing in the morning on Heron lake and had a good few hours catching some lovely carp including common & mirror, the fish were in excellent condition as well and put up a good fight. We moved onto Heron lake in the afternoon and after a slow start from 4pm onwards we were catching lots of fish. We used pellets (available to buy on site for a couple of pounds) & luncheon meat. A really good value day out in fantastic surroundings top notch

My friend and I drove from Salford to here and have just returned for LLoyds Meadow and I can honestly say it was one of the best days fishing we have had in a long time. The owner spent time with us advising us where to fish and the best pegs and boy did he tell us good, plenty of doubles, mirror, common etc.. Well worth giving this place a try, very clean & tidy as well.

Lloyds Meadow fishery is set in a secluded little valley, surrounded by woodland, near the lovely village of Mouldsworth. Although man-made, the setting, surrounded by woodland, and the careful landscaping makes the lake look as natural as possible. There are four lakes each holding a good range of species, details of which can be found on the website.
My Dad and I have been fishing here for five years. About two years’ ago, the fishery changed ownership. The new owners have taken real care to look after the place and improve the facilities. The fishery is immaculate. Neatly mown lawns, well arranged, well spaced pegs, strategically placed reed beds and water-side shrubs gives cover for the fish, and comfort for the angler. With the choice of four waters, it’s usually possible to find somewhere to fish not too close to others.
Danny, the owner, is very knowledgeable and always has helpful advice for fairly novice anglers like myself: tactics, a change of peg, we’ve caught more on occasion because of his advice. The fishing is very good and it’s usually possible to catch quite a bit, even in poor conditions, whilst in ideal situations, the size of bags possible is impressive (I’ve not caught 100lb of fish in one go like in some of the matches, but 50lb of carp to 8lb was a red letter day for me).
Being a nature and dog lover, Lloyds Meadow has two enjoyable distractions when I visit. The first is the wildlife. The tranquil wooded valley setting means that there’s plenty of wildlife to see: kingfishers often flash past, buzzards soar overhead, green woodpeckers call maniacally from the trees, and mandarin ducks are breeding here. In summer the fishery is never quiet, there’s always a cacophony of bird song to listen to.
I always look forward to the owner’s visit hoping to meet their two female Rottweilers Roxy and Kylo Ren. Roxy will be on lead, not because she’s not friendly (she is) but because she has a tendency to snaffle anglers’ baits. Kylo will be off lead; she’s also friendly but better behaved bait-wise, and may come over for a sniff if you make a fuss of her (like I did).
In summary, Lloyds Meadow is a great place to fish. It has a good, varied head of fish up to decent size, a beautiful countryside setting, is beautifully looked after and is simply a great place to spend a day. My Dad and I don’t want to fish anywhere else.

Visited the fishery for the first time on the coldest weekend so far this year! Six of us fished a match on Badger after excellent sausage and bacon and egg sandwiches. The owners were very helpful, both with food and advice on fishing. We all caught at least 3lbs of fish, with 28lb needed to win. This might not seem much compared to some weights, but we were more than happy. Delightful surroundings, glorious views of buzzards and a welcome appearance from the local kingfisher to top it off. A good, if chilly, time was had by all.

Hi there, can you please explain, what is the issue with, A) Bringing one's own loose feed pellets? And B) Not being allowed to use groundbait when one of the featured stories on Lloyds Meadow Fisheries own website describes a Pro Angler feeding golf ball sized lumps of Sensas™ groundbait; pretty much all session? Different rules for different Anglers? My fishing mates are desperate to go this winter but I don't want to be discriminated against because I'm a Pleasure; not Pro, Angler!
