Don’t really get out fishing as much as I’d like these days but had the pleasure of 2 visits in a week to Lloyds Meadow.
Lovely well kept location which still keeps a very natural feel and look about the place. I fished the Badger lake from late morning to early evening on both occasions and had 2 great days fishing with a decent haul of Bream, Roach and lots of Carp. The highlight being a double figure Mirror Carp.
I’ve previously fished the Heron lake which along with kingfisher is unfortunately closed at the moment. I had a good chat with Danny the owner about the 2 lakes being closed and although it’s unfortunate as I would prefer to fish the Heron lake, I totally agreed with his reasons for doing so.
There is now a booking system to fish there, and yes the price has gone up a couple of £, but still worth every penny.
Well done to all concerned for a great fishing venue.

Lloyds Meadow, Perch Trip
Oct 2019 • Friends
Visited Lloyds Meadow with my angling friends to fish specifically for Perch. A few small Perch, Carp and Roach between us saved a blank! It was very wet and somewhat muddy however, still a very beautiful and well looked after fishery. Only 4 stars due to the fact that 2 of the waters were closed with no explanation, in particular the one I wanted to fish, Heron Pool which is said to hold Perch to 4lb+. Looking forward to the next trip!

Staff were very helpful and kindly provided an umbrella to allow me to fish on in the rain and some useful tips, that helped me catch a 9.5 lb common carp on the Kingfisher Pond

Amazing Find

My friend and I drove from Salford to here and have just returned for LLoyds Meadow and I can honestly say it was one of the best days fishing we have had in a long time. The owner spent time with us advising us where to fish and the best pegs and boy did he tell us good, plenty of doubles, mirror, common etc.. Well worth giving this place a try, very clean & tidy as well.

Always a fun place to fish
Mar 2018 • Family
This is a superb little fishery which is brilliant for kids on there first sessions especially. If they fish maggot close in on a whip or short rod they will catch roach, perch and gudgeon all day long, and quite possibly some smaller carp too. The lakes are stuffed with silver fish. The owners didn’t even charge for the kids on a couple of my visits! Ithe same tactics work for the adults too! Fishing in the margins is nearly always productive and a piece of meat, corn or pellet should get you among the carp and bream. For the lads with a pole the island margins or straight down the middle can nee very productive too. My grandkids love seeing all the bird life and especially the baby ducks in the Spring. A lovely place to fish that is usually sheltered on a breezy day too. Nice easy fishing in a great location.

Not child friendly
Jan 2018
I wouldn’t bother visiting if you have children.

Owner clearly doesn’t like kids but happy to take their money, some miserable older fisherman who won’t say hello (even quietly...) and two huge, aggressive dogs that you have to walk past to get to two of the lakes which growled and snarled at everyone who walked past.

Give it a miss.

Jun 2017 • Family
We're do I start been fishing at lloyds for more than 7 years always had a great day at a good place but the last 2 times weren't that good few to the new owner with his way of speaking to you and keeps looking at your fishing tackle this time I decided to try it one more time to see if it changed and was spoken to the the owner as if I was stupid in front of my kids with a terrible attitude and snotty sarcastic remarks about my cheap fishing tackle so myself and family of 6 members have all decided not to bother him anymore if that's the way he runs his business
