Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I booked a 1 hour massage for myself and my mum after we could not book in the soa at our hotel because it was fully booked. Having looked at the reviews on here I decided to book a massage with Sabai Beauty. We are so glad we did. The ladies were so knowledgeable and knew exactly where the knots were. They gave us advice after on some exercises we could both do to loosen out shoulder muscles. We both think this is the best massage we have ever had! We just wish they were closer to home as we would book in every 2/3 weeks with them. Would definitely recommend.

My husband booked a massage for me after our neighbour recommended Sabai; we used to go to another local clinic but we were looking for a new place. Alistra was wonderful, she was so knowledgeable and honed in on my needs straight away. She was so thorougher and gave me great advice. The massage felt personalised and tailored to my needs. As soon as I came out, I booked another massage for my husband and me next week! Sabai itself seemed friendly and professional. The massage rooms were perfectly clean, quiet and the temperature was comfortable. I really hope my future visits are just as relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you Alistra!

The head and neck massage is to die for. My shoulders, head and neck are always very sore because of my job. Noi was pleasant and she made sure the pressure wasn't too hard or soft :) would recommend! My parents had Emmy and Nat who were equally professional and amazing!

the only fault was, once booked in there is no health form or questionnaire form to fill in... most salons I've been to before the beautician talks you through any health issues and explains treatments etc... I was taken to the basement to a very small and dimly lit room, I did feel a bit uncomfortable, the beauty therapist spoke hardly any English I think she was Thai, but not sure... but i did enjoy my massage and facial , i probably would go again if I was in the area.

Hi Lisa,
Thank you for your review. I have your signature and responses on our health questionnaire. If you email us at sabai-chester@mail.com including your surname (so i know that it is you emailing) and referring to this response then i can share a photo of it. It was the form you completed on entry (right on top of reception). It clearly asks 3, yes or no response health questions. You answered "no" to all so no further investigation was required.
However, i understand that you didn't get the interaction you expected regards treatments. I can only apologise for that but the therapist is not a first language English speaker.
For the readers of your review, please do look at our website, the treatment area and rooms are at basement level. We do dim lights because the majority of clients prefer it.

A superb 1 hour deep tissue Thai massage. I booked this spontaneously as I was visiting Chester and so pleased I did. Staff were very professional and friendly. A fantastic treatment and experience. I highly recommend Sabai Beauty and I immediately felt so much better after the treatment. They have lots of treatments on offer and the therapist was great at checking the massage pressure was suitable for me. If I lived in Chester I would book frequently.

By far the best massage I have had. The lovely lady made me feel very comfortable and found all the knots in my back that I didn’t know were there. I felt very relaxed and I will definitely be returning. Thank you so much.

This is a genuine review and a personal opinion, so no rebuttal please!! I have had many different types of massage, so these are my observations.
It concerned me that I didn't see staff qualifications displayed, as you see in other salons. No health questionnaire offered, just a casual question about medication once I was already lying on the massage table.
Usually after a massage I've been warned not to get up too quickly, to drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol - no such warning given.
The reflexology was treated just as a foot massage and a 'crunchiness' in one area of my foot not related back to indicate in which area of the body there may be a problem. Not sure the therapist understood the principles. Also the reflexology was carried out in the rear of the public area of the salon where passers by could look in - not very relaxing and the phone constantly rang and remained unanswered.
On the positive side - lockers a good idea, friendly staff.

I travel the world a great deal with my work and have received many different types of massage that are available, from deep tissue, hot stones, Thai massage and the more gentler Swedish massage. The therapist at Sabai was extremely professional and attentive to my needs, focussing on which type of massage I required and level of pressure I would prefer. The salon offers a wide range of the different techniques which are carried out to the highest standards in beautiful surroundings. Having decided which massage and over what period of time, I was invited to use the steam room and take a shower before my massage, of course this is not compulsory. Not only is the salon beautifully decorated, it is also spotlessly clean, there is an abundance of freshly laundered towels and bath robes available for clients to use. The whole experience on entering the salon to leaving is truly a relaxing one, the staff are warm, friendly, extremely professional and for this I applaud you. Keep up the excellent service you provide!!
