Phoenix is an award winning independently operated multi-screen cinema on the east coast of Cornwall in the historic town of Falmouth. It is housed within a beautiful Nineteenth Century former "Drill Hall" building. Phoenix contains five cinema screens playing mainstream, classic and art-house releases with three auditoria offering luxury seating with armchairs, sofas, side tables and full waiter service. The two main larger auditoria provide traditional theatre-style cinema seating with stadium layouts and full digital sound and picture. The cinema, as you'd expect, also has a long contemporary confectionery and popcorn counter, but it also houses a stylish bar and restaurant on the first floor with chef-prepared meals, light cinema-snacks or freshly ground coffee and pots of tea. In 2009, the year that Phoenix opened, it won the prestigious UK Independent Cinema Of The Year award. Phoenix is part of the Merlin Cinemas group

Haven't been to the flicks for years. Yeah...it brought back lots of memories. A lot has changed for the better: there's a decent restaurant for a start. The seats haven't changed much unfortunately but that's just a trifling detail. The big screen still beats a...More

The cinema. We saw Thor Ragnarrock here as the kids wanted to see it when it came out (oneupmanship). The cinema needs a facelift as the decor came across as tired as did the seating. The service however from the staff we encountered was good....More

My other half took our two boys to see the Emoji movie. Great little cinema, clean facilities and very good staff. Cheaper than national chains and they have a variety of deals on offer. Another bonus is the onsite restaurant and bar. Great local asset.

We love this retro venue. Films and seating good in small screenings. Bar is very hip and does good fast food including vegetarian. Reasonably priced and often have membership offers. Worth a visit.

On a wet summer day, we needed an indoor activity and this cinema was lovely. I can't comment on the main screens, but screen 4 has around 50 seats, which are either armchairs or double sofas. There's a lot of leg room and it was...More

Yes plenty!! X 2 car parks one behind Argos and one opposite weatherspoons, but if it’s an evening show you can sometimes get spaces right outside the cinema along the road
