Although it was a bit of a drizzly day we decided to go on a river trip to the Helford river. However on enquiring we were told that because of mist the trip was instead going up the Fal and was therefore a bit cheaper. We paid our £10 each and stepped on board. The boat has plenty of undercover... More

The weather was lovely so we made a quick decision to do this cruise, we arrived 30mins before she sailed, this was a good move as the top deck filled up quite quickly after that. We set sail to a commentary that at times was quite hard to listen to due to the talking going on around. Plenty of time... More

This was a pleasant enough cruise to Frenchmans Creek but beware we had to kill three hours in Falmouth waiting for it. We booked the 11am sailing at the pier office a day in advance. On arrival, we were advised by the apologetic skipper that ‘the office’ had booked the Princessa for a charter instead. We, in common with others... More

We took this boat from the Prince of Wales pier in Falmouth, along the coast and up the Helford Passage. The views of the coast from the sea were excellent. The commentary very informative. The boat itself had plenty of space for the number of people on it. There is a bar, serving hot drinks as well as alcoholic. They... More

We were picked up by bus in Truro and taken on a pleasant trip down to our boat. A few minutes later and we were heading towards the Helford river. Places of interest were pointed out to us and also the history of the area. After arriving at the Quay in Falmouth we all agreed it had been a very... More

A pleasant way to spend an afternoon in Falmouth. It took a couple of hours and we went as far as Helford. Good weather made the trip all the better.

Took my Dad on this 2 1/4 hr boat ride. He loved it. It was nice to see the coast from out at sea and the calm weather made for a very comfortable journey. The two who ran the boat were very helpful and cheerful. The commentary was just the right amount of information. Didn't make use of the refreshments... More

We decided to take the MV Princessa trip up the Helford river from the Prince of Wales Quay in Falmouth. The weather was good and the sea state slight. The commentary from the skipper was informative and entertaining although an understanding of the Cornish dialect does help! A very nice way to spend a couple of hours.

A day trip to Falmouth sharing our daughter-in-laws' birthday we treated her to a trip on the MV Princessa from Falmouth to and along the Helford river and a very enjoyable trip it was. The guide was very informative and friendly and helped to make the cruise interesting. I would rate it good value for money. The only downside for... More

About 10 of us from our coach trip took a cruise along the river and we were all pleased that we had done so. The weather helped as although rain had been forecast the sun came out instead. The commentary was good although sometimes difficult to catch what was being said. However, the scenery was superb. We were able to... More
