    Excellent Falmouth Tall Ships 16/08/2023
Tall Ships 16th August 2023. Arrived at 13.15pm and joined a relatively small queue that was flowing quickly, though security and tickets checked for our 2pm arrival, they opened early at 13.30pm. Joined another slightly longer queue for the first of the two main big ships. Toured around and plenty of room to take photos. Once I'd got off the Polish ship, I then went to the back of a second queue for the Mexican ship, which was absolutely stunning with a really friendly crew. After exploring the Tall Ships, I then went around various stalls of food, drinks, crafts, and awareness for different charities and armed forces. Next time, please have more seating in with the food stalls.

We had a lovely walk along the promenade. The promenade is nice and flat and there are plenty of benches along the way. The area is well landscaped with seaside plants and shrubs which provide alot of colour. The area is very well kept and clean. You can look out to sea over the beaches and over to the castle.

    Serene view.
Beautiful view. Serene. I sat in the sun on a bench looking out at the ships and boats for a long time and didn't get bored of that view. Right behind the harbour is the town with shops and cafes. Restaurants, etc. I am looking forward to coming back. As it's April, it isn't too busy. A local mentioned that it is extremely busy in summer. I got lucky with the weather this week :)

The view of the boats in the harbour is very picturesque and peaceful. We enjoyed looking round the shops, stopping at a cafe for a bite to eat, and then walking along the front.

Bit of a disappointment due to the weather so the sail out was cancelled, it bucketed down on Friday.
I thought there would have been more tall ships, seem to recall from seeing them in Weymouth and Liverpool years ago that there were many more.
Typical Falmouth not enough parking and its expensive,
Would have gone to see them in the docks but the local news reported there was disorganised queues miles long to get in.

Falmouth is a vibrant town with a very interesting and varied seafront. The town is packed with great cafes and restaurants and also has a great choice of independent shops, a lovely place to spend a day.

Falmouth is a tranquil, tiny English town in Cornwall. The Cornwall coastline is lovely and offers great walks, bustling little town with plenty coffee and tea spots, restaurants too.

Don’t forget to visit the beach front area. Absolutely lovely.
