Level 2 Powerboat course at Mylor Yacht Club near Falmouth was fantastic, Vicky the instructor was excellent and had so much time for us all . Having tried this course before on the Solent this was on a different level . Thanks Vicky and Mylor , licence completed !

I really enjoyed my powerboat weekend course , many thanks Mylor school and Vicky in particular
The friendly relaxed atmosphere real helped me relax , learn and enjoy it
Our instructor was very experienced and patient , a real asset to the school
A good mix of theory and practice ,and a perfectly sized group so we could all have plenty of time on the wheel and practice what we had learnt
If I had to pick on a negative , the screen of our power boat, Nutkin was quite dark and not very clear and specially when some rain come, it made it very hard to see where I was going !

Excellent and laid back sailing lessons on the river Fal estuary.
They do a great job of only having a small group so you learn lots! The Fal estuary is a great place to learn too - a big space that also is a bit sheltered from the weather.
The only fly in the ointment - I did think the engine in the boat could have been replaced as it didn’t work very well - perhaps given all the stopping and starting a super-green super-quiet electric engine could be good if they aren’t too expensive!

Hello and thanks for your review! Glad you enjoyed the powerboat course so much.
So sorry about the slight engine issues, these are now all fixed. It's sometimes good to see minor faults on an engine as this can certainly happen to you if you go on to buy your own boat. They take a lot of maintenance!
Sadly the environmental option is not quite there yet. There is a 50hp and a 80hp electric engine on it's way but not quite here yet. We are always looking into the greener options and hold the Gold Award for Green Tourism.
The last quote I got for a fully electric RIB was £75,000. Out of our budget I'm afraid!

My daughter did 3 weeks of the RYA Youth programme in July and August; my intention was for 1 week to see how it went, and she enjoyed it so much I booked her in for 2 more weeks.
Super team with a great vibe; friendly, helpful and honest with parents, and instructors that the children love. All kit provided in good condition and the sessions are excellent value.
My daughter will have memories (and a logbook) to last a lifetime, if we get back down to the Falmouth area, she'd love to sail with Mylor Sailing School again.

A really top rate power boat and sailing school. I did the RYA Safety Boat course. Very impressed with the quality of the instructor, the thoroughness of the training and the different boats we used. A highly recommended RYA training centre.

Three boys attended for 2 complete days and had a fantastic time.
Teachers were friendly and knowledgeable and also very patient.

Excellent tuition. Friendly staff who made you feel very welcome. The course tutor was extremely knowledgeable and went out of their way to help everyone on the course as a collective and on a personal basis to get the most out of the course. Would thoroughly recommend
