A 5.4 mile moderate coastal walk along the South West Coast Path taking in a holy legend, a 6th century monastery, an 18th century eccentric and a 19th century engineer. There are rockpools on the beaches, remnants of shipwrecks, tales of smugglers, and the walk ends with a stroll up through the picturesque fishing village of Polperro to Crumplehorn, where you can catch a bus back to Looe.

This is a beautiful walk and well worth doing. We managed it easily with a 5 and a 7 yr old despite the usual British summer rain!

What a beautiful coastal walk. We did this walk with our 8 year old daughter and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was uphill and down dale but definitely worth the moderate effort required to complete it. Unfortunately the coastal path was temporarily closed when we left...More

This is a lovely walk but be prepared for a major climb from Talland bay. The rest of the walk is reasonable for anyone in a decent state of health

If you've never been to Polperro it comes highly recommended. This walk is not too challenging and offers stunning views.

This walk is a must if you are staying in the area. Although it is an uphill climb until just before reaching Polperro it is not a difficult walk. My two 11 year olds found it easy. The views are spectacular and you won't be...More

A wonderful section of the coast path with one detour which was clearly signed. Quite hard work as lots of steep stepped sections but worth it for the views.

We walked Polperro to Looe having read previous reviews and agree this is possibly the easier way although it was extremely hot the day we walked with no breeze! You have a clear well defined path and stunning views throughout the walk. The bus service...More

I decided to walk to Polperro on the recommendation of Bob, whom I was staying with along with his wife Debs at The Old Malt House B&B in Looe (highly recommended BTW). It was a beautiful day and although some of the hill climbs could...More

We set out early from Millendreath, picked up a small pasty snack in Looe. Lovely. Walked around the habour, over the bridge and back round to Hannafore Point. Fantastic views of St. George's Island. We then pressed on out of Looe and through a beautiful...More

It's not an easy walk. If you are starting from Looe I suggest you just walk up Hannafore to the pastures. You can go further but it's not easy. From Polperro you walk up the Warren to the cliff top, then if you keep left... More
