By far the best beach in the area, and so quiet. There is a pub/bar nearby for food but my advice is take a picnic. A short north east to Porth Joke is worth it!!

Perfect family beach with short walk from car park. Clean, sandy wide and spacious. RNLI lifeguards during holiday season for your safety and advice. Limited facilities on the beach; shops, cafe and public conveniences nearby. Easily one of my favourite beaches; even when the season...More

We were very lucky to visit here on a lovely warm day in February. We parked in the National Trust car park which is free to members and walked to the beach. Lots of lovely golden sand and huge dunes. Really picturesque. On the right...More

Lovely beach in a sunning location on etc Cornwall coast. Few items of rubbish lying around, but otherwise it looked pretty clean.

Gorgeous beach, used for filming some Poldark scenes. Everything that a child could want on a beach- waves, soft sand, high sand dunes.

Lovely beach, bit of a trek from the carpark if you've got asthmas like me. Not really worth going in the height of the season as there is sometimes a 2 hours queue to get in to the carpark! Best to go at low tide...More

Used to visit here annually staying at the nearby camp, and spent many hours running up and down the dunes, but this time was pure pleasure, I forgot how far it was from the car park to the sea but what a lovely walk, bracing...More

I used to visit Holywell Bay as a child and we absolutely loved it there. I've got so many happy memories. Haven't been for about 40 years so it's probably changed but hopefully not too much.

Drive through Holywell & you come to a NT car park. From there it’s just a pleasant 10 minute walk to this stunning un crowded beach, it’s my favourite! There are no toilets or cafes on this beach, so take all you need... More

There were definitely on it when we went in March as I said hello to plenty but not sure about summer months. I know some beaches don't allow dogs in the summer but I don't recall seeing any signs.

No it is not that warm. I have visited in August and September but not found it to be that warm.
