    Fabulous day out
We went here on 17th May, paid around £55 for 2 adults and 2 children. Absolutely fabulous day out, rode the train from the car park, arrived into the main part, plenty of outdoor play equipment to cater for all ages, additional trains running, trampolines and pedal boats along with a bit of history. Absolutely Fantastic day out and certainly better than other attractions in the area. Only additional things we had to pay for were the cafe and gift shop. Also a large indoor soft play which is great. Surrounded by lovely scenery, would highly recommend to anyone looking to go!
Thank you so much for your 5 star review from your visit to us on Wendesday. We are so pleased you found plenty to entertain you for the day as well as enjoying the historic elements of our wonderful site. We look forward to welcoming you back to Lappa Valley again soon.

    Amazing!!
Totally awesome ! From the minute we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lady who made us feel so welcome .. my son is in a wheelchair and has complex disabilities and challenging behaviour and I immediately felt at ease . Everything was assessable for him and nothing was too my trouble . The whole day was perfect for our whole family and we bumped into the owner Keith who was the nicest person who talked to my son and his siblings and genuinely understood us and how our family worked. We even discovered we came from the same home town ! The restaurant had great food and again fantastic staff . Well done all !
Thank you so much for your 5 star review from your recent visit to us. We are so pleased you found everything was easy for your visit. We really endeavour to make every visitors journey seamless and stress free. We look forward to welcoming you back to Lappa Valley soon.

Brilliant birthday party from start to finish
We arranged a birthday party at Lappa Valley on Saturday 27 May for our 7 year old grandson with 14 guests and parents. It was amazing. The room, the food were excellent and we also ordered a cake, wow such a large cake which everyone loved. The families after the party spent time on the sight enjoying the amenities and all thought this was a brilliant place to hold a party. Thank you Lappa Valley for helping to make his day special.
Thank you for your great review of your Birthday party last week. We are so pleased your grandon enjoyed it as well as the delicious cake! - We are very fourtunate to have a talented food and beverage team who can make the cakes in house. Thank you again, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Lappa Valley again soon.

Great day out at the Lappa Valley
We went to the Lappa Valley with our Daughter and Grandson. First time since we went with our children. We enjoyed it more than before. It's a great day out. Our grandson loved it. There's plenty to do and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Compared to how it was , there are more things to do and better refresment facilities. The great thing is that once you've bought your ticket virtually everything else is free. There's enough to fill the day. Highly recommended for families with children, especialy younger ones
Thank you so much for your 5 star review from your recent visit to us. We are really pleased that your grandson enjoyed himself and found plenty to do! We are indeed proud of how far we have come in the last few years, following significant investment in the improvement and further development of Cornwall's Secret World of Play & Trains. We hope to welcome you back to Lappa Valley again soon.

    Great place for young children
Certainly an unusual little place! First of all you board a train from the car park which takes about 10 mins (slow) and transports you into a completely different world. You arrive at a large park with 2 other trains available to ride, various play areas and climbing structures, a large lake with Swan pedalos, crazy golf plus a large soft play, overlooked by a cafe. Entrance is fairly pricey but if you do the majority of the activities you're certainly getting your moneys worth. We had tea/coffee and cakes in the cafe which was lovely and also a variety of vegan and allergen free cakes which was a bonus. Definitely recommend if you're staying locally with young children. The place is also completely dog friendly which was great for us!
Thank you for your 5 star review of your recent visit to us. We are pleased to read that you found everything was enjoyable and fun, we are always very pleased that all of the main activities are included in your one admission price which as you mention, gets you your moneys worth. We hope to welcome you back to Lappa Valley again soon.

    2nd visit
We came here on a rainy day unfortunately because our whole weeks worth of weather wasn't great. There were lots of things we couldn't use like the play equipment, slides, trampolines and climbing frames but our two little ones still loved the trains, pedalos, swings and diggers. We could see that since last year there has been some investment in new play equipment which is good and we enjoyed the new mini golf. From what i can remember the prices seem to have increased but we will definitely return on a hopefully drier day.
Thank you for your review from your recent visit to us. We are sorry you visited on a rainy day but we are glad you found plenty to do during your visit. We are also pleased you have noticed the investment that has gone into Lappa in the last 12 months. We are always striving to improve Lappa and make the visitors day out better and better. We look forward to welcoming you back to Lappa Valley again soon on a drier day!

Who doesn't love a steam train - at any age
We stayed at The Flat at Benny Halt (booked through Sykes Cottages) . Brilliant accommodation above the ticket office, which included rides on the railway as often as we wanted. Spacious accommodation and fully equipped kitchen. By staying here you are also helping to fund the steam railway. The staff were extremely helpful, informative and friendly. Plenty to do, 3 different train rides, mini golf, pedalos, soft play area, the old tin mine site, eateries, gift shops and a woodland walk and much more. Highly recommended.
Good Afternoon, Thank you for your lovely review from your recent stay in the Station Flat. We are so glad you enjoyed your time with us and found the steam railway enjoyable as well as the rest of the park. We look forward to welcoming you back to Lappa Valley again in the future.

Eith our holiday coming to an end and we were running out of things to do my partner suggested Lappa Valley. We would return in a heartbeat if we ever go back to Cornwall.
Thank you so much for your fantastic review from your recent visit to us. We are so pleased you chose to visit us and had an enjoyable day here. Should you ever be back in Cornwall, we look forward to welcoming you back to our secret world of play and trains.

A nice place to visit, the kids will love it!
Great place to visit with the kids, lots of trains to ride on and a couple of fun play areas for your little ones. Lots of things to do for the little ones. The crazy golf is quite fun as are the swan boats and you can grab some pretty decent food to keep you going. The toilets were nice and clean too when we went which shows they take care of the place well. If you or your kids like trains they will love this place, well worth a visit, we really liked this place!
Thank you so much for your review from your recent visit to us. We are so pleased you found plenty to do to keep the little ones busy and happy! We are also pleased you noticed the care and detail that goes into keeping Lappa clean and welcoming for everyone too! We look forward to welcoming you back again at some point in the future.

    Good park but overpriced
We managed to visit when the weather was awful so perhaps didn't get to enjoy the full experience. We went with a toddler who loved the trains and other facilities that Lappa offers, plenty of outdoor space and soft play was also enjoyed by him. The only negatives I'd say are the prices of the "Engine Shed" cafe (£13 for a hot dog!!) And I felt the admission cost is higher than it should be (around £10 would be fair), although you can see the investment that's been put into the park.
Thank you for your review from your recent visit to us. We are glad you largely enjoyed your visit and enjoyed the trains and other adventures to be had at Lappa Valley. However. we are sorry to read that you felt our prices were a little on the expensive side, unfortunatley with the increasing costs of all aspects of running the business (from coal for the steam locomotives doubling in the past 12 months, wages, costs of food, energy etc) it inevitably leads us to review our prices, that said, please be assured that we always strive to remain as a good value day out, with all main attractions included in one admission fee. We hope to welcome you back to Lappa Valley again soon.

We had a family day out with 3 generations, ages ranging from 75 to 11 months. There was so much for the toddlers to do, and plenty of seating and picnic areas close to the child activities. There are plenty of places to eat, but for those taking their own food, there is a large covered picnic area. The grounds are neat and tidy and well cared for. There are very few prohibitive signs, which was a breath of fresh air. The attitude of the staff was exemplary; they really seemed to love their job and went out of their way to help the customers enjoy their day. The toddlers loved the train journeys, the pedalos, trampolines, indoor soft play and various playgrounds. What made the day really special, and indeed, possible, was that it is completely dog friendly; Our puppy was allowed in all parts of the park; on the trains, pedalos, shop, eating areas (except for the trampolines). Thanks for a great day. We will be returning and recommending for all families with children up to the age of about 9 or 10

Lots of little fun things for toddlers to do - go karts, soft play, trampolines, play parks and of course train rides!
I’d say it’s best suited for under 10’s but is a good family day out with good food served at the cafe.

Excellent day out. Train rides, outdoor play areas, crazy golf were all fab. Boats unavailable due to time of year I think but looked like fun.

We had our dog with us as well as a toddler but were surprised and delighted to discover the cafe in the soft play area was dog friendly! What a bonus on a rainy day!

Food in the cafe was lovely. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Family friendly toilets were very good, spacious and clean.

Would definitely recommend for a family day out with young children.

I honestly think this might be my favourite place I've taken my 3 year old. Such a fantastic find. I couldn't get over what was included in the price. We loved the pedalos, and the walk down the valley from the top railway station (wear wellies if its been raining!) The soft play was clean. And of course, it was a wonderland for our train mad daughter. But I think what made our day wonderful above all, was every single member of staff we encountered was just lovely, the train drivers were so enthusiastic it made the day so much more enjoyable. I just we lived closer, I'd definitely get a membership if so.

Thank you for another lovely family day out Lappa Valley.
We visited with our two children aged 11 and 8. It was the Easter holidays and of course raining at the start of the day.
We enjoyed a trip on the lakeside railway, compete with enthusiastic driver then headed in to the soft play. It was busy due to the weather but we found seats to enjoy a coffee while the children played.
We ate a hot lunch and the food was delicious. You could tell it had been freshly cooked, with good quality ingredients and decent portion sizes. ( I also noticed an upgrade to the The Crib Hut, serving pasties and drinks/ snacks and ice cream)
Afterwards we had a great game of crazy golf, enjoyed the pedalos and playpark before a trip from the new branch line, Newlyn’s Down. The kids spent some pocket money in the gift shop before we departed home. We still love the unique way you enter the park by train. Lovely friendly staff all around the park. I made a pint of checking out the new loos too! Thank you Lappa Valley.

Fantastic place to visit on a rainy day with young children and a dog. We wore our wet weather gear prepared to be outside all day. We did the swan boats, golf and multiple playgrounds but were really pleased that our dog could go into the soft play cafe to escape the rain for a while. Also had an under cover pasty and coffee shop. Staff were brilliant, chatty and friendly and making the train trips even more fun for our kids. Great day out, lots to do and spaces to escape the rain.

Yet another trip to Lappa which didn’t disappoint. This is our 7th year visiting and even though the weather was windy and cloudy we still had a good day. We were greeted by Keith at the reception who happily spoke to my son about trains and answered all his questions which made his day. We enjoyed several train rides both steam and diesel, driven by jolly drivers who engage brilliantly with the passengers of all ages. We then warmed up in the engine shed soft play where my son ran off some energy and we enjoyed a cup of lovely coffee. We didn’t eat this time but the food coming out (burgers, wraps and sandwiches) looked good and well worth the price. Once warmed up we had a game of mini golf (all included in the price - this would normally cost about £15 at another venue) before having a play in the park.. great for all ages. My son loves the sand diggers and big tube slide. There’s lots of picnic benches to watch the children play and the new toilets were lovely. The park is always clean and the staff are so friendly. We will definitely be back next year and hope to say Hi to Keith and his team again. Thanks for the best day in our wet and windy holiday!

We visited on a Tuesday in May half term. It was a fun day and there was plenty to see and do for our then 4 and 1 year olds. We were there all day, so had time to do a couple of things twice. We plan to go again when our youngest is a bit older.

What an absolute gem of an attraction so close to Newquay!
Such a characterful and beautiful place for the family to visit. Visited with a large family group with ages from 4 to 11 years old, and everyone (adults included) had an incredible day.
Every single staff member was such a credit to the place and made it so enjoyable. Nobody wanted to leave.
There’s so much variety for all the children that there isn’t a chance for anyone to be bored.
What a beautiful setting as well. Full of natural beauty and a view into a rich Cornish heritage.
Honestly, I cannot praise everyone and the place enough. I will absolutely be visiting again, every chance I get!

Fantastic day out at Lappa Valley. Initially we were worried there wouldn't be much to do as we didn't realise it was the last weekend of the winter season, but even with some parts closed, our three year old was thoroughly entertained all day. The golf was great and perfect difficulty for kids. So many great outdoor play areas. Brilliant, friendly staff. Fab soft play! Overall I would highly recommend it.
