A very enjoyable visit to a fairly small National Trust country house probably more enjoyable because of it's smaller size as that made it easier to spend more time on individual areas rather than rushing to see all of a larger property. The house is well presented, with knowledgeable and pleasant volunteer staff, outlining the history of the Arundell family.... More

Beautifully decorated for Christmas. The property feels lived in and you can imagine what life was like in Tutor times. Some changes were made for this time of year. The 1950s living room was decorated complete with tree, presents and signs of presents just unwrapped, even some empty sweet papers. It was so evocative. On previous visits we enjoyed the... More

I visited today with my young daughter to see the Santa in green. My daughter adored everything about it! Santa told a fantastic story and had grown ups and kids all in stitches, what's more - he really did look like Santa in Tudor dress! We also enjoyed some chrstimassy crafts, a cream tea, and a choir singing carols. My... More

We visited Trerice several times over the summer and enjoyed it every time as we picked sunny days when we could picnic outside. As with all National Trust houses the volunteer room guides are very knowledgeable and friendly and there are good café and toilet facilities - an essential when you have the kids with you.

We live locally and this is always our favourite place to take the family and for lunch or afternoon tea - lovely homemade food!

Interesting lovely old stone house, very natural gardens surrounding it. We didn't eat there but the food we saw being served looked good and it has a good gift shop. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Entry fees are reasonable and slightly reduced in the winter.

Trerice isn't a huge property, but with a great hall, minstrel's gallery, a long gallery and some of the most elaborate Jacobean plaster ceilings it is a delight. It has a number of lawns and garden areas around it, a decent cafe/restaurant it the ban and activities for children.

Despite it being off season, there was plenty to see both inside and outside of the house. Staff were very helpful and gave interesting insight into the property's history.
