Really good instructor, but felt a bit rushed. Walking to Fistral beach from Cornish Wave base was long - the surf board are quite heavy and tricky to walk with unless you are used to it! Could have done with more engagment from the instructor along the walk, just to ask questions and get to know Newquay a bit better. Once at the beach, the lesson was very enjoyable and lots of encouragement/tips on how to improve from the instructor. I would recommend one lesson to get the basics then practice on your own for a day or two. If you want to improve beyond beginner, another lesson would do the trick. Good value for money.

We had the most fun with our instructor Victor! We had surfing lessons on one day and had so much fun, we booked in for the coasteering.
Victor was full of fun and bubbling with positive vibes. He was very knowledgeable and we felt so relaxed and excited to hit the waves. His expertise even helped us to stand up on our surfboards, giving us hints and tips each time we approached a wave. It was exhilarating. I didn't want to leave the surf!
The coasteering was adrenaline filled and lots of fun. Victor made us feel really safe to fully enjoy the experience. He pushed us enough to conquer our fears and push our boundaries, but also knew when we hit our limits. He was full of encouragement and had us laughing the whole time.
Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to experience either of these fantastic trips. A* !!

I had never tried surfing before the lesson, but will definitely be doing it again! It was so fun and we got plenty of opportunity to practice the techniques. Despite it being a group lesson, Gregor was very good at making sure he spent time with each person to give us advice and help us to catch waves. I even managed to stand up a few times, which I never expected! I would highly recommend trying out surfing with Cornish Wave.

What an amazing experience. Coasteering around Newquay coastline. Our groups age range was 9years to 60 years and we all had an amazing time. Never felt pressured into doing anything you didn’t want to do. Matt our instructor was amazing and so encouraging to us all Would definitely recommend

I did the one to one lesson with one of the instructors, Greg and can honestly say it was one of the most fun and informative lessons I’ve had on anything. He was really good at focusing on my bad habits and helping me to overcome my poor pop up technique, as well as making me feel really comfortable and safe in the water.
Would recommend to beginners or anyone wanting to improve their current ability.

Myself and 3 friends took part in a group surfing lesson with Max and Sam and then a private lesson with Sam. The beginners lesson was fun and the guys were super helpful and were really funny. The private lesson was on a different beach with much bigger waves, despite this we felt really safe and managed to hone in some real skill. Sam was really knowledgeable and fun

Great afternoon coasteering. Swimming, climbing and jumping, Victor our instructor talked us through all safety aspects as well as demonstrating every aspect of the session before asking us to do it. Never any pressure to do anything you didn’t want to or out of comfort zone (due to height or sea conditions) Good local knowledge of the coast and its history too. Even in May, with all the layers of wetsuits, never got cold. A real fun afternoon out

We had 3 consecutive days with Cornish waves- 2 beginner surf lessons and then coasteering! All 3 instructors (Greg, Ben and the New Zealand guy who’s name escapes us) were professional and friendly! We wouldn’t hesitate to book again with the same company. We had one surf lesson on fistral beach and the other on towan beach. Really enjoyable experience! Thank you

A brilliant weekend. Really well organised, friendly and fun. The surf lessons were at the right level for the group - although I was slightly remedial - and I could have happily stayed in the woodland camp for several days. Highly recommended.

What a great experience. Thank you to Jey. Great balance of jumps and exploring with wonderful interaction. Jey encouraged and gave our daughter the confidence to jump from the rocks whilst setting our son off the higher opportunities. It was not all about the jumps though - fantastic learning bout the coast and animals as well as the cave. Thanks Jey. Wholeheartedly recommend.
