Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lovely beach when tide goes out it is a good size. We flew kites, rock pooled and chilled on the beach. Only one expensive shop by the beach with a cafe alongside. Drinks vendor also, but drinks are expensive. Top car park uses coins or different app to everywhere we had been so far. Lack of signal left many frustrated, as app couldn’t be downloaded!

Left car in car beach car park very tight spaces to find someone had reversed into my car obviously trying to get out £200 bill to get it repaired. Likely the red Vauxhall van parked next to it. No note left

This is a great beach, loads of space and the most important for us is its dog friendly!
Lots of space for the dogs to run and have fun.
Parking on the field above.

A brilliant location with great facilities that offers a wonderful day out for the whole family with miles of sandy beach and safe swim/surf areas controlled by lifeguards at low tide. The one major draw back is the number of dogs running loose, which should be a concern for all given the unpredictable nature of these animals.

Lovely beach, great waves for surf or bodyboarding etc. Beware rocks hidden in the sand which cut my sons toes. Toilets and refreshments a walk away.

Have been to this gorgeous beach many times over the years. Family & dog friendly with a great expanse of golden sands.
Life guards keeping a keen eye on things.
The only thing I have to complain about is the loss of the take away venue by the beach. You used to be able to purchase pasties, sausage rolls, drinks & ice creams.
This has gone, with people expected to eat in the restaurants which isn’t very nice if you’ve been in the sea & covered in sand. There is a coffee & pastry hut on the way down to the beach but can be a bit of a trek back.
They have also installed a food hut & bar in the car park which serves pizza’s, burgers & ice cream, although when I tried to purchase one I was offered Bubble gum, vegan & another that I can’t remember. No good Cornish Vanilla or Strawberry.

Stopped at Cubs coffee and had the best coffee on my visit. The coffee was rich and smooth and the almond pastry was the best I ever had. Coffee and a pastry £6.80 average. Cans and water £2

Which beaches in Newquay are easily accessible as I have a long term back injury and cannot climb or go down steep steps.

There are several in watergate bay ie a few metres from the beach. I have stayed in Beachcombers and Tregurrian villas and was happy with both, there are others in the immediate vicinity which look very nice
