We stayed at the traditional Union Hotel for three days. The place is 700 years old and this is part of its charm. Plumbing is up to standard but our bed was very very hard due to the mattress being placed directly on the slatted...More

Walked down here a couple of times while in Penzance. Quirky Street with unusual shops and some nice pubs, all doing grub. Egyptian house is on this street making it well worth a look. Very central. Stop by and look.

Rented a house on Chapel Street for the week, very lovely. Lots of pubs and reastuarants , enjoyed the art and antique shops, good base for exploring west cornwall

Chapel Street is the most interesting part of Penzance when it comes to shopping. It has a wonderful selection of various unique shops mostly to do with antiques and the architecture of most of the buildings are beautiful. Recommended.

Has that small village feel but a great variety of shops. Easy parking by the waterfront and charm in all of the surrounding streets. Not high end shops but great selection of all types of shopping.

As I don't believe in ghosts I wouldn't be the best Reviewer to help....but bits are pretty Gothic.
