Well where to start? The staff amazing the atmosphere out of this world. Think with it only being lite by candles and being dark etc makes it even better. The food is all cooked fresh and to die for eating with your fingers is just something so unique to the meaderys. I really don't know what coating they put on the... More

My husband and I went for our anniversary meal (it was my husbands first time) we both had scampi and chips with mead to drink. The meals were plentiful and piping hot. We couldn't fault the food or the service. We would definitely recommend

Managed to accommodate 18 of us at short notice, menu as its always been, huge portions, great service, mead wine options fab. Couldn't really fault it, a little on the pricey side but you're very much paying for the experience and the novelty as well as anything else. Will definitely return.

Lovely staff. It can get quite noisy at the weekends. It's best midweek in the autumn/winter. Blackberry mead wine very delicious.

Meaderies have been a mainstay of Penzance/Penwith eating out for decades and the Waterside I'd one, if not the original venue. These places have always been a place of relax have fun with simple good food and unique (potent) mead wines. It's been a number of years since I'd been here and I wasn't disappointed. Go there with a view... More

Friendly staff, excellent food and huge portions! Good service and an enjoyable meal. Dessert was amazing. A bit pricey, but worth it for the experience of the Meadery.

Called in with my family, as an ex Penzance boy wanted to show them my first drinking place. people just allowed to roll in with no greeting to a sticky dirty cave. Got kicked off the only table with any light as it was reserved but not labelled. It was clear we were not welcome so that's fine I spent... More
