We popped in for a bottle of wine for s present at the shop within the vineyard business. We left with a half case after being able to try all their varieties. The red is particularly recommended

Tucked away just outside Penzance town centre is Polgoon shop, brewery and cafe. From the road it is well signposted, and ample parking. If you haven't been before, the shop is the first building you come too, but follow the building round to the right for the outdoor (under cover) cafe seating area. Options for food are limited (cheese or... More

Me and my husband decided to pop into Polgoon as we were visiting nearby Penzance. Unfortunately we had missed the tour but visited the shop. They sell a range of their own wines, ciders and soft drinks. They also sell a range of other cornish produce. The staff were very helpful in the shop and happy to provide tasting samples... More

A little detour for hubby to stock up on his cider, warm greeting when we went into the shop, happy to let him have several tasting, more than happy to help carry them to our car.

We were staying in the YHA close by to this vineyard and thought it would be worth doing the tour as it was on our door step. So glad we did! The family and staff are all lovely people and we gained a real insight into the highs and lows of producing wine in the UK. I enjoyed visiting the... More

I was given a gift voucher to visit Polgoon Winery by my son on my birthday last November! I am pleased we waited until September as it was harvest time with beautiful bunches of grapes hanging on the vines in the sunshine. We arrived early and were warmly welcomed by the staff many of whom are part of the family.... More

We visited the vineyard while on honeymoon in Cornwall. We arrived about 13:30 ready for the 2pm tour and we're guided towards the seating area by very welcoming staff in the shop. Our tour was to be taken by Emma, who we found out was the bosses daughter. She was very friendly, honest and informative. No question was too much... More

I had booked on onto a tour of the orchard/vineyard several weeks earlier. The person I dealt with via email was helpful and informative. I was told I was booked on but did not have to pay until I arrived. When I arrived, it was friendly and relaxed. We were made welcome and invited to browse in the shop until... More
