    You did not disappoint!
After a build up of three years to visit, Jubilee pool did not disappoint! Beautiful architecture and history to swim and be part of the memory and fabric of the pools existence. Great facilities, the main pool is unheated and I am nesh but managed it with some encouragement and glad I did . Book the geothermal art as an extra at the end of your swim, you will not be disappointed.

    Great pool, poor cafe.
My son took 5 friends to the pool to enjoy the inflatables for his 13th birthday. Great value for money as we got the Cornish discount. They stayed in for over 2hrs and really enjoyed it. My husband and I had a takeaway tea from the cafe. When the great Cornish weather decided to rain, we and others took shelter under the cafe(the only under cover place). We were told very rudely to go and stand in the rain, as that section is not for takeaway customers. Very poor hospitality, left us feeling annoyed at what otherwise was a lovely day. Would recommend the pool but not the over priced, rude cafe.

A fabulous few hours of fun
We absolutely loved it here. The pool was amazing, the inflatables were so much fun and the cafe was awesome. A great experience all round despite the drizzly weather! (a 44 year old and an 11 year old)

Geothermal pool was the best bit for me.
What a fantastic time we had. The main pool was freezing! But once you got in and moved around a bit you got used to the cold. We booked a combo ticket and used the geothermal pool too. That was perfect. Having been on a ridiculously long walk the day before, the warm pool was perfect for achy joints and muscles. The only downside, we arrived at about 10.30 and the kids pool hadn't been filled up yet. My youngest didn't like the main pool (because he couldn't touch the bottom). I'm sure he would've enjoyed the kids pool- so that was a shame. The cafe was nice - nice to actually have dairy free options too, albeit a little expensive. Definitely a lovely morning out and I'm sure we'll be back next year.
Dear Isobel W, Thank you for your lovely comments, the team love to read positive feedback. I'm sorry to hear about the kids pool not yet being filled, when this happens it's usually due to tide times and on the odd occasion the times are not in our favour. Kind Regards

    Fantastic setting and experience
Wanted to go here since seeing it on television. A perfect example of an art deco lido built in the 1930s and fully restored. The highlight is the geothermal pool filled with sea water and heated naturally. On our visit it was about 32 degrees and the perfect antidote to a day of driving and sightseeing. One of the real highlights of our week of touring.

LOVE IT. Just a beautiful setting that will fill you with a sense of possibility. Kids love it, especially the bouncy castle on fun days... thermal pool is a treat and it all feels lovely and relaxed

Perfect place to be on a very hot day!
It was 32 degrees on a Saturday afternoon, and the best place in the world to be was Jubilee Pool. It was too hot for the beach but the cool seawater with sun on our faces was perfect. The pool feels safe with plenty of lifeguards. Lots of families and people of all ages, but definitely not crowded. The booking system is straight forward on line. Unfortunately we picked a day when they were closing early as it was the annual summer 'Thank You' party for staff an volunteers, but I am sure it was very much deserved. Parking is on the streets or a small carpark opposite so at busy times you have to be lucky, but leave plenty of time and people are coming and going all the time. It would be nice to have lockers for your bag, but if you just bring the basics you can leave your bag poolside and keep an eye on it. This was my 2nd visit to the lido but I do think I will be coming more often. 😁
Dear 734carav, Thank you for your lovely review, the team really did deserve their thank you party, we really appreciate your understanding. Lockers are a really good suggestion, due to being listed we have so many restrictions as to what we can do, the discussion will certainly be had though. Keep an eye on our Website and Instagram as we have lots of lovely events coming up over the winter months. Hope to see you again soon

    Fantastic place for a swim
Visited for Aquafit in the Geothermal Pool on a sunny Friday in September. The pool was wonderfully warm and the class great fun. Lovely little spot to enjoy the sun; welcome staff and great coffee!

    Feel good factor
A wonderful experience. The facilities are basic but considering it’s an outdoor area it is fairly well maintained. We traveled on the train from Plymouth making it a lovely day out. We were just disappointed at the cafe. Very overpriced. A very small hot chocolate that was lukewarm was £3.50? Not recommend.
Dear 426avrilc, Thank you for your feedback, we are really pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit, what a lovely day out! From time to time we do make a mistake, should you have brought it up we would happily have replaced it with another. It's hard to rectify this once a customer leaves, as for pricing I have checked with 3 other local cafes and two where more expensive and one was the same, sadly its due to the cost of food currently. We are sorry it wasn't up to scratch, we do apologise for that. We hope to welcome you back again soon

    Lido Lunch
This is a fantastic place to visit for varying swimming abilities; We went as a family trip of 3 generations; some local and some from out of area. The geothermal pool is lovely and warm for a relaxing gentle swim, or there's the main pool for a longer, cold water swim; water was sitting at 16 degrees when we went. Lunch at the cafe was lovely; a small menu of locally sourced dishes, beautifully presented. We booked the Lido Lunch package which was great value.

Don’t expect to be warm if you swim in the thermal pool. We visited for the 5.30pm session in late October - 3 people lasted for only 5 mins and most got out of the pool after 30 mins. At best it was like a heated swimming pool, not the warm water experience we were expecting. There were 15 people in the pool, too many to make swimming possible, if you were able to swim a little more you may be able to keep warm! It’s also absurd that they expect you to change with no doors on the cubicles - every other pool seems to manage this despite Covid ! There was little evidence of enhanced cleaning measures either, we saw one of the lifeguards walking round with a spray before we arrived, however there didn’t appear to be much cleaning going on and no sign of any cone system to show you which cubicles had been cleaned. It was also very run down, a lick of paint would improve things no end. Save your money, we felt it was overpriced and were really disappointed as it seemed such a great concept on paper - the reality was very different

Disappointing and disorganised.

From photos we got the impression you would have sea views from the pool. This is not the case, but also the steps leading up to the viewing platforms were all closed.

We had booked the 1pm geothermal pool session. Then decided to pay an extra £2 per person to have all day access to the jubilee pool. We arrived at 11.30 with picnic and sun shade tents as it was really hot, only to be told they had overbooked so had emailed everyone that the all day option was no longer an option. We checked our email and we had not received anything. They insisted they had emailed them. We showed them we had received nothing. I had checked their Facebook page that morning (due to repeated reports of vandalism) and there was no such comment there either except that the morning session was now fully booked but availability in the afternoon.

Initially it was like Little Britain with the girl on the desk… “computer says no” was more or less her response to allowing us in or leaving our bags somewhere safe whilst we waited 90 mins. Insisting we had been emailed. It seems that we were not sent an email as we booked the 2 items separately and hence we were not identified to be notified. The manager was more professional and allowed us to lock up our bags whilst we went off into the heat to kill 90 mins. Our age range 15-74.

Once we were in the Geo pool, we all found it to be dirty. Every time we put our hand in the water a long hair was stuck to our hand. We complained to the girl on the poolside and we were told it had been cleaned that morning.

The website says no inflatables in the jubilee pool but there was a large inflatable ring. There is no mention that sun tents are not allowed so we took 3 between 12 of us. We had tried phoning before to see if we could use them but got no answer and it seems they are not permitted.

After seeing how dirty the Geo pool was only half the group went in the jubilee pool.

A shame, as the place has potential but all 12 of us were disappointed and we didn’t stay very long. We did complain and got a refund.

Great facilities available. Online booking was easy. The kitchen in the restaurant wasn't open during the day. This is understandable due to possible Covid implicatiobs. The water temperature reading was also possibly a little lower than advertised!
The geothermal pool was sadly fully booked for a month in advance. For travellers from Dorset, this was a bit of a disappointment and perhaps, more people could use this facility if the time slots were shorter, offering half an hour instead of an hour.
The geothermal pool definitely wasn't at its advertised capacity and it would have been great to upgrade due to ladt minute calculations or no shows.
The Jubilee Pool is a beautiful structure that offers value fir money. £6 for an adult swim was definitely worth it!

My friends and I visit Jubilee fairly regularly (being local) and us and our children absolutely love it. However, we visited last week and were asked to pay £6 EACH to be able to sit poolside. Our children are old enough to go in without us but in the past we have always been able to sit where they can come to us if necessary. The children had hot food from the cafe and we had coffees so we spent money with you that way? Am disappointed you no longer do a spectator ticket - especially when it's the likes of us that support you throughout your season and not just at peak times.

Thanks for your feedback. The decision to remove spectator tickets was done in line with the pandemic. Our capacity to the pool is still restricted for public safety and to avoid congestion of spectators we have removed the ticket. It may be something we bring back in the future but it currently doesn't make sense, especially when we have seating on the top terrace and café. We do appreciate the feedback, especially from locals. Thanks for your year-round support.

I have swim in most of London’s lidos and one or two elsewhere but this is a special place. It’s huge and full of seawater rather than chlorinated water. The pool was not busy - partly because there is a limit on numbers at present but mainly because swimming in a pool where the water is 18 degrees on a day when there is broken sunshine at best with a stiff breeze, tends to make the time spent in the water a bit shorter!
All tickets for the geothermal pool sold out in minutes when released for the days covering our holiday, so only option for us is the bracing main pool. It’s lovely!

Loved the idea of visiting the geothermal pool more than the reality. The facility is lovely and historic but looks rather run down, everything could use a lick of paint and cheering up. The lack of lockers was challenging and seems unnecessarily mean, even some small lockers to store valuables would have been appreciated. Also, I was told upon arrival that there was no hot water for the showers that day. In reality, the showers weren’t working at all. As the first stop of a long day touring the area on public transport it was unpleasant not being able to shower the pool water off. The pool was relaxing, I enjoyed the community spirit and the workers seemed kind, but at over £11 for entry the facilities were just too primitive to make it seem worth it.

This was a fantastic swim on a cold afternoon. The pool was about 27c rather than 35c so they telephoned round to inform everyone it would be cooler. I knew it wouldn't be a therapy pool experience. Knowing that really helped.

Swimming at 27c with icy rain felt like the end of a bath when you're slightly cold. Or when you swim in an indoor pool before you properly warm up. It definitely felt warm rather than cold getting in, with just a touch of cool as I stretched out to swim.

There were few people who braved the swim so I could have the utter luxury of a proper, comfortable swim outside in December with at times heavy, cold rain and feel warm. I felt utterly blessed to be able to do this. It was a perfect swim.

We did Geo & Fizz as a birthday treat. Geo pool ok. Changing rooms very poor, out of the 5 changing rooms with doors we tried 4 did not have locks that worked. Rubbish floating in geo pool when we got in. No one attempted to pick it out. Ordered 2 gin & tonics and 2 Prosecco from cafe took 10 minutes to get served despite being first in queue and cost over £30!! Felt completely ripped off. Such a shame, I am local and this was my first visit since all the renovation work. It felt designed to fleece people out of their money without really caring what service they give.

We really enjoyed our hour at jubilee pools.
Jubilee has asked me to give feedback;

Good; the geothermal pool was clean and hot. Check-in was easy and smooth. We will go back.

Improvement; Only negative was toilets weren't very clean ( it was last session). Also the cafe needs more staff or a separate ice-cream stall as I queued behind people getting food/ coffee for an ice cream for quite some time and they gave up.

Lovely to be able to swim outdoors on an extremely hot day in a beautiful art deco space. LOVED the geothermal hot pool. The 55 minutes went by very quickly and well worth booking this if you can get tickets.

The sea water pool is very refreshing and great once you get past the colour, temperate and fact there is still some seaweed and sea snails in there.

We were lucky that the day we went was super hot and sunny. We would go back if we could get combo tickets again so we could use the hot pool but as we are not really cold water swimmers we would not be likely to return just for the cold pool along as we prefer the beach.

A lovely place to spend an afternoon.
