We got the train from St Ives to Lelant Saltings then did this walk back. Both the train and the walk had great coastal scenery to admire. There are some ups and downs though the walk is not too long and you can pause at...More

Takes about two hours from Lelant Park & Ride Station. The coastal walk is beautiful but bear in mind that it is very narrow in places and very hilly! The views, particularly of the Hayle estuary, are spectacular although much of the walk is through...More

Part of the 630-mile (1000km) South West Coast Path this section begins in the sleepy village of Lelant (St. Uny Lelant in full, or Lannanta in Cornish) by the ancient church of St. Uny and takes you high above stunning St. Ives Bay. The way...More

We were staying in Carbis Bay and decided to walk to St Ives one day, it's a nice walk but unlike the walk from Leland there isn't much view until you reach St Ives, which was a shame. There is some property renovations going on...More

I was on the coastal path taking in the wonderful coastal scenery. The south west coast path is well worth the effort to walk.

This walk is one of our favourites. Thew views are stunning and the walk is fairly easy, although this time it was very muddy in places due to heavy rain a few days earlier. There are quite a lot of steps between Carbis Bay and...More

Took the train in the morning from St Ives to Lelant and then walked back to St Ives. As I walked this route alone, I bought an app iWalk Cornwall and picked this route. The path is easy to walk. The view was really really...More

First of all, as this is a long path, I need to say which part we walked. We walked between St. Ives and Lelant Saltings. The SW Coastal Path website assesses this walk as "Easy". It's not!!!!!! This was the biggest disappointment on our holiday....More

Hi, As you would expect with the Coast Path some of it is along cliff tops, but on this section whenever you are close to an edge there is either a fence or a bank between you and the drop, so you should be fine.

The walk is about four and a half miles. We stopped in carbis bay for lunch. It does go up and down, and is steep in places. We got the train back to Lelant saltings.
