From the moment we joined James on his fishing boat back in July our family group of 8 had a great day. James soon had us novices having such fun catching lots of mackerel with lots of help and hands on assistance from him. Thanks James it was great.

Was looking forward to going fishing and the trip was well organised. What most impressed me was that all those fishing were given assistance removing fish from lines and all the fish was cleaned and gutted on the return journey. The catch was shared out between all six of us. Being of mature years, I found not being able to... More

Wonderful morning of fishing with a fantastic skipper. Incredibly easy to book, the kids loved it and James could not have done more to ensure we had a wonderful time. Excellent value for money a must do in St Mawes.

We loved the trip so much last year that it was one of the first things to book when back in St Mawes this year. It was another fantastic trip with the perfect skipper and host James. Have no hesitation in recommending. Thanks again James.

No frills or anything fancy good honest 'does what it says on the tin'. James is clearly on a personal mackerel slaying mission and seemed determined that we all came back with something to take home. Highly recommend, excellent value and a great way to get out to sea.

Our family of 5 had the best time ever out with James catching mackerels and emptying the lobster baskets. Success! James was very friendly and made a real effort to remember all our names. I can't recommend this fishing trip enough.

Really enjoyable day out for us novice fishermen/women. James is really friendly but not intrusive and explains things clearly. We caught loads of mackerel and bbq'd them when we got home (they were amazing). It was a lovely couple of hours out to sea and we ha some great views of the surrounding area too.

5 stars isn't enough! Our family fishing trip was so much fun. James is super friendly and was great at getting everyone involved. He quickly learnt everyone's names and made sure the toddlers had an important role to help us catch some fish. Set in St Mawes, a pretty fishing village set up for amazing photographs of your holiday to... More

Firstly I would just like to apologise as we did not go on this trip in June 2015 but in March 2015, I completely forgot to do the review, but it was that good, I needed to share the experience. My girlfriend booked me a surprise trip to Portloe, Cornwall and had booked a fishing trip with James Brown of... More

A wonderful time was had by all! The kids loved the mackerel fishing, and it was also wonderful to take in traps and find crabs, lobster, and fish. Skipper James Brown did a nice job teaching the kids about the catch. It was also a wonderful way to see the area around St. Mawes, Falmouth inlet, and St. Anthony's light... More
