Unusual Italianate garden

What a surprise this was. Beautifully laid out and very well maintained. Unusual for this part of England.

Wow. What a great place . You have to love/like gardens but who doesn't. This place is perfectly set on a sheltered hillside above St Mawes. It has an intricate path system with loads of hidden little corners and great views out to sea . Nice little tea room/patio . Worth every penny of the admission fee .

What a beautiful garden, we wandered for ages along the paths up and down, left and right. Rather too steep for those not so good on their legs admittedly but with a Cornish cream tea at the end of our visit it was a delight. Don't miss it.

We got married at Lamorran gardens on the 28th July 2015 and it was perfect. Maria was the perfect host, she provided our family groups with a beautiful, sparkling afternoon tea it was delicious. Cornwall registrars were great and conducted a beautiful ceremony in the romantic part of the gardens (the cupola) it was perfect and the weather held out for... More

What an amazing garden so many points of intrest and the view across the river is a treat ,the garden is quite steep so not suitable for the less mobile, it's worth the climb back up for the Cornish tea

A beautifully laid out and cared for piece of heaven. Set on the side of a hill that leads towards the sea it is crammed with fabulous planting and sculptures in pretty room settings. The afternoon tea was great too!

Private House where the owners so kindly open their garden to the public 2 days ( wed and Fri) a week from April to Sept. Overlooks St Mawes Bay and thus the views are stunning from the sloping gardens. The gardens are of Mediterranean style- they are beautiful with extensive species of palms and tropical plants. The tea on the... More

We walked up the garden from our holiday flat in St Mawes, quite a steep climb in places - it's a rather different journey sat in a car! We reached the garden and got our breath back while enjoying a coffee. There were lots of different areas to see, with a variety of plant types, well laid out with lots... More

Lovely tropical garden but very steep with lots of steps so unsuitable for disabled and those with mobility issues.

Wonderful views of the headland opposite pale into insignificance compared to the beautiful garden. Planted with palms and camellias and with something for every season, this Mediterranean style garden transports you from real life. Relaxing and small enough to be manageable, yet large enough to get lost in. Highly recommended. Cream teas too.
