- Vikki W1 contributionWow what an amazing place!I absolutely adored my visit to King Arthur's Great Halls today! ❤️ From the second we entered John was so welcoming and friendly, he made me & my daughters feel very comfortable and went out of his way to help & answer any questions we had whilst also giving us some very insightful stories & information. I cannot recommend this place enough it really is a hidden gem, I will absolutely be recommending to all my friends & family & will be sure to revisit. Great prices! There's lots to see & do. You will be wowed by the stunning glass windows and the sheer size of the place I cannot speak highly enough of it. It's very interactive & you're allowed to be hands on which I loved to be able to connect & feel the energy - which you can really pick up on. There's lots of photo opportunities & it's very inclusive for all the family. Seeing the round tables, inscriptions, artifacts, stained glass windows, thrones, excalibur was truly mesmerising! Thank youVisited March 2023Travelled with familyWritten 3 March 2023
- Nick EDenbighshire, United Kingdom5 contributionsVery interesting and beautiful historyAmazing history with knowledgeable welcoming staff and interesting gifts available....we bought four books 📚 😄 a must visit as pictures don't do the windows or the halls justice. Very cheap for the experience and worth doing as well as the castle. Easy to miss if you don't know it's there so do give it a try.Visited March 2023Travelled with familyWritten 10 March 2023
- Susan H4 contributionsMust visitGreat place to visit. Quite exceptional. Wonderful stained glass and lots of information about Arthurian legend. Well worth the walk up the hill from the ‘castle’ and a ‘must visit’ for Tintagel. .Visited March 2023Written 16 March 2023

- Rebecca W1 contributionKing Arthur’s Great Hall, Tintagel. On my goodness Arthurian Legend overload. If you like legend and myth this is your place, with arts and crafts stained glass, beautiful pre Raphael paintings and etchings. The largest granite throne in the world. The man at the desk is called John and what a wonderful man he is. What an amazing g experience totally mind blowing. Very cost effective for the family. Disability accessible. Toilets are available and clean. No rushing you can take your time. If your going to king Arthur’s castle go here first plenty of history and literature.Visited March 2023Written 24 March 2023
- Bruce W1 contributionDon’t miss this! What a fantastic insight into the legend of King Arthur. When walking in it seems as though it is a simple gift shop. Although it is so much more! From the Merlin’s narration and light show to the grand hall, well worth a visit.Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 April 2023
- SpiritofFreedom1916Clacton-on-Sea, United Kingdom38 contributionsEverything King Arthur and the KnightsA place like no other. The Halls are wonderful. Full of things Arthurian including the round table with the Knights' names, many artifacts and an introduction to it all from Robert Hardy. The gift shop has lots and lots of items to buy as mementos and all of it presided over by the lovely John. Very friendly and full of information. Don't miss this one. It is fantastic.Visited April 2023Travelled soloWritten 10 April 2023
- Christine JLondon, United Kingdom4 contributionsInteresting, well presented, great guideMy husband and I went here a couple of days ago. It was truly a great experience. John who runs these halls was so knowledgeable and very friendly. Entering the hall itself was amazing and then listening to the story of King Arthur made it seem so real! There are 72 beautiful stained glass windows, great paintings, and when you first enter the place there are books, lots of lovely jewelry and souvenirs. It is definitely well worth a visit and we would highly recommend it. Chrissie & HughVisited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 14 April 2023
- Yvonne M1 contributionKing Artur HallsThis place leaves a lasting impression and this is not our first visit. The 10 minute light show at the beginning sets the tone. The stain glass is exceptional, took so many photos. If you visit Tintagel, this is a must.Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 April 2023
- JaneWorcestershire, United Kingdom4 contributionsEnthralling, engaging, immersive experience, highly recommend. This is certainly not just the fascinating shop it appears to be, but also an enthralling and engaging experience from the moment you step in. The immersive story of King Arthur is evocatively delivered in an imposing hall and gallery of the most exquisite astonishing paintings by William Hatherell - worth visiting just for these! But then this leads on to a vast impressive hall of stunning stained glass windows depicting the Arthurian legend, with an imposing throne, the knight's round table, and engaging information to keep you occupied for hours. A very welcoming & knowledgable host. Highly recommend!Visited April 2023Written 23 April 2023

A brilliant place if you are interested in King Arthur. There is rverything here you would expectto find and a few things you wouldn't like the Great Hall, the round table and some fabulous stained glass. If you visit here say hi to John behind the desk and mention my name.- Teresa. I don't get anything by doing this but John will know I'm still recommending the Halls. Thsnk you.

What an Amazing place! Greeted with a lovely warm welcome. The audio narration was beautifully done. The hall is so much bigger than it looks, and the stained glass windows are absolutely breathtaking! A must see if you visit Tintagel!

On our wander through Tintagel, we chanced upon a building that looked quite ordinary from the outside. How surprised we were to discover the magic inside! The entrance led us to a small shop filled with books and memorabilia about the Arthurian legends. Next to the till, there was a door with a sign indicating the fee to enter the 'hall'. We expected one room for the price, but we were in for a treat.
Inside the first room, there was a narration of King Arthur's tales, beautifully complemented by captivating images on the walls. But the real highlight was the grand hall that followed. It felt like stepping into King Arthur's court, with brilliant props and detailed furniture that took us back in time.
What caught our eye, though, were the stunning stained glass windows. There were over 40 of them, each beautifully crafted to tell a story from the legends. The colours and designs were a sight to behold, creating a magical atmosphere in the hall.
And the cherry on top? We managed to time our visit right between two group tours, so we had the place to ourselves. It made the experience even more special. If you're in Tintagel, take advantage of King Arthur's Great Hall. It's a must-visit.

We visited on a Sunday, in fact we got there as soon as it opened.
We were the only ones in there and it was an amazing experience.
We chated to the host for a long time about the history and attraction.
We really enjoyed the start of the tour and I got to sit on the main throne in the first room.
We then took our time walking around the main hall and reading all the information.
Definitely worth a visit.

We visited Tintagel for one night as part of a road trip around the South West coast. We spotted the sign as we walked past on arrival and decided to visit the following day. I'm so glad we did! King Arthur's Great Halls were even better than we could have imagined; so many interesting things to look at and read which sparked lots of further conversation and imaginative games. The story at the beginning was wonderfully delivered. John was an extremely knowledgeable curator and you can tell he loves what he does. I'd recommend anyone with an interest in history, myths or storytelling to visit, you won't be disappointed.

this was a lovely place to visit. we were the only ones in it on the day we went. The male member of staff was very helpful to myself as a disabled visitor, he was also very knowledgeable and happy to share this. Was informative and we were able to wander at our own pace and take photos. totally dedicated to king arthur and knights of the round table.

An amazing place to visit. The guide was extremely knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble. The stain glass windows are beautiful.

This is a wonderful place for anyone interested in King Arthur! There’s a little show that you first go into before going into the main halls. Inside there are so many paintings, artifacts, and writings about King Arthur. There’s a big throne at the top you can sit in and take pictures in too!

Well, as a Senior I paid £7 (I think?) and it was well worth it. Unfortunately I am not certain, as we visited several places in Cornwall, so it does tend to blend one into another.....

There is no ramp going through the front, but no steps, and just normal glass door at the entrance.into the shop and entrance. I do not recall a disabled toilet I'm afraid.
