Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I booked this for my wife as sh has always wanted to walk a Llama so I made her wish come true.
The whole experience was very good and informative.
The rain also did not put us off and added to the experience.
A big thankyou to Dartmoor Llamas for hosting this.

We booked the Llama meet and greet as a birthday gift for my sister and it was brilliant. Diane and Steve gave us so much information and answered all our questions. We got to walk the llamas and groom them. Then meet the alpacas and feed them. A lovely hot drink and cake before walking the llamas back to their field. It was such a great experience. Would definitely recommend. A great way to finish our weekend.

What an amazing experience!

I booked a hot chocolate walk with as a surprise for my partner, and it couldn't have been better! (Well maybe the rain could have been blown away, but what do you expect in December? haha).

When we arrived, we were given some health and safety training, and invited to brush the llama's coats as well as an unexpected surprise. Their customer service is absolutely excellent.

After that, we were paired up with our llamas.

I had Marlia, the lead llama, and she was a girl after my own heart - stopping for every snack she could see! She also let me have a cuddle and some pictures.

My partner walked Tilly, who was absolutely the sweetest and fluffiest girl. She liked to have a fuss and also bee-lined for the snacks.

Along the walk, Steve and Diane educated us on Dartmoor's history and answered a constant stream of questions from us about Dartmoor and llamas. Steve and Diane were so lovely and approachable, no question was too much or too silly, they'd heard it all before!

They were even able to accomodate us being vegan and provided vegan hot chocolate and a vegan brownie.
I am absolytely dying to go again and have been raving about it to all my friends.

Very pleasant and nice trip.
The hosts are very nice and helpful. It’s a wonderful experience interacting with the llamas and alpacas. They’re claim and nice to children which I didn’t expected.
My daughter and son had an amazing time with those beautiful creatures.

An amazing walk. We'll organised, met all expectations. A very relaxing way to explore and learn about Alpacas Llamas and Dartmoor. Steve and Diane are amazing with their knowledge, organisation and hosting. A real treat and a wonderful way to explore nature and the history of the local area.

I know Dartmoor well but have never walked it before with a llama in tow. And what great company they are! Very easy to lead and cuddle, particularly enjoyed the little groaning noises they made if they think you're standing around too much. A lot of fun.

Fabulous experience walking with Llama’s across Dartmoor. We chose the short 2 hour walk (stopping halfway for a cuppa and cake!). Three reasons to do this:
1. You like Llama’s - get close and personal!
2. You like Dartmoor - fabulous views and area to walk across!
3. You like history - hear all about ancient bronze settlements and how locals lived on Dartmoor for hundreds of years.

Yes, highly recommend.
