Popped in on a rainy day. Stairs difficult for mobility but if you can manage worth 1/2 hour of your time.

This small museum is well worth visiting. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The modest entry fee is great value. Based in a lovely old house, the exhibits show the development of Dartmouth from medieval times to the relatively recent. There is much to interest the casual visitor and the serious scholar alike.

worth a couple of pounds to learn about in and around Dartmouths history. Very quaint buliding, i was particularly interested in the ww2 history about Slapton Sands and Dartmouth itself.

Nearly missed it - glad we didn't. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The museum looked really cared for. A lot of information on Dartmouth and sailing ships in a fairly small space. Learnt a lot about how the area was so important to the 1944 invasion. As I said "well worth a visit".

To be honest I love museums but many are so large I lose interest after a while. At this one it is small enough to keep you interested until the end. Well worth a visit.

Only £2 (£1.50 for seniors) so very good value and a friendly welcome; barely a destination in its own right, but has some interesting memorabilia (mostly with a nautical theme) and superb model sailing ships. Run by volunteers, and they do a great job.

Three room museum with loads and loads packed in. Couple of great quizzes for kids, my 8 year olds loved it. Welcoming and avoiding staff who gave them a sweet and little certificate for completing the quizzes. Brilliant hour long visit and for £2 for an adult and two under 12's it was fantastic

For a token fee Dartmouth Museum opens a whole world of history for someone like me with one eye on the present and another on the past. Inside the small, cosy but extremely welcoming museum are three rooms. Each room has a different theme concerning the history of Dartmouth. For me, being a model boat enthusiast, was the large collection... More

Having only a short time in Dartmouth, we had a quick sandwich at the Angel Restaurant and then the museum - staff were welcoming and friendly - most of the exhibits were model ships and a small corner of the museum had a film of the Dartmouth Area used for training troops for D Day which was very interesting
