Despite its name, this beautiful beach is actually a pebble beach. It has a small stream to one side which the kids love! The beach is privately owned with a good sized car park right next to the beach, which can be expensive if you are only on a short visit! There is a small café which is open at... More

By UK standards the beach is gorgeous and in a relatively unspoilt natural setting, backed by stunning trees and hills. It gets very busy in July and August, although given the size of the beach, you will still be able to find a clear spot. As many have mentioned, the privately owned car park is a massive rip-off, particularly if... More

This is principally a restaurant on the beach for summer visitors - but fortunately it was open when we visited - and it provided a much needed hot coffee for warming up. Probably very busy in the summer. Pleasant & efficient service.

This is a lovely place to visit and I like the fact that you don't have to pay for parking there (at least in November). Good for gentle walks across the sand and it's a pretty wide beach so lots of space. Coffee shop is very good and we enjoyed our lunch there. Will be back.

Very popular in Summer and Spring but NO DOGS are allowed. In the school holidays it's best to get there early or in the late afternoon when parking charges are lowered. The beach is kept clean and tidy with sand pits and rock pools for the kids, young and not so young. There are beach shops, a large Venus cafe/restaurant,toilets... More

Lovely off season walk. With cafe, shop, toilets and large car park. Crystal clean water and stunning cliff scenery.

We went to Venus Cafe for breakfast and had to return for lunch too!!! The sun shone and the atmosphere was wonderful. We could sit out on the verandah (glass windbreak) for both meals.

Be aware that this is a private beach with its own rules and regulations. If you are arriving in a car, that means that you are going to be using their car park, no ifs or buts. This was £4 usually but as we arrived midafternoon, it was down to two. But the car park itself is fine and the... More

Glad the parking attendant was off duty so parked for free! A great rough sea today so a spectacular sight to see. As it was out of season the usual faculties like ice-cream kiosk were closed.
