Take this extraordinary glimpse into the beloved holiday home of the famous and much-loved author Agatha Christie and her family. The relaxed and atmospheric house is set in the 1950s, and contains many of the family's collections, including archaeology, Tunbridgeware, silver, botanical china and books. Outside you can explore the large and romantic woodland garden, with a restored vinery, wild edges and rare plantings, which drifts down the hillside towards the sparkling Dart estuary.

We've not been for years and this time we wend by boat from Dartmouth quay. The whole garden is green and uninspiring being mainly woodland but with two large walled gardens. One was ramshackle and the other had a small unkempt flower boarder and otherwise...More

We did not prebook a parking but the NT was very accommodating and allowed us to park in the very small car park as there was a cancellation. The only stipulation was that we left before the next lot of cars arrived at 14h00. There...More

We have been to the house on several occasions and this visit was just to look at the gardens. Unfortunately there wasn't much to see. In the springtime the daffodils are wonderful. We found the cafe not so good either. The waitress took my husband's...More

We went to Greenway again whilst staying in Dartmouth( suggest you take the river boat ferry). Apart from Agatha Christie's Summer House which is quite stunning there are some lovely wooded gardens( beware some of the pathways are quite steep) plus a good courtyard cafe.

A lovely house and we travelled by ferry which added to the experience, this was a second visit and it's certainly worth while for Agatha Christie fans. The gardens are not particularly outstanding, but the river views from the pathways are stunning.

Unbeknownst to us as we did very little research, we had no idea that this was Agatha Christie's holiday house and that parking had to be booked in advance! Well, the attendant must have felt sorry for us and there were a few unclaimed spaces,...More

While we were there, we did not see any motorcycles. Since your mode of transportation does not take up as much space as a car, you MIGHT have a good chance of getting a spot. I suggest calling them directly. Good Luck!

Dogs are welcome here and will love the beautiful walks around the estate. There are water bowls and tethering poles outside the main reception. Dogs are not allowed in the house.
