Early in October I was due to attend a balloon flight which was booked for the afternoon. On the day I received an email with a change of time for the flight which I was unable to attend so I replied to the email stating that I would need to re-book another time. As this was a Sunday the company claimed that they did not receive emails and the whole flight had to be cancelled because I didn't show up and therefore my tickets were now voided. I am somewhat aghast that an organisation sends emails to change details but does not monitor them in this day and age when most of society has moved to the ability to access emails remotely - "Aerosaurus" more like "Dinosaurus". It was the company that changed the flight time not me and to cancel my tickets as a result of a change they made is a disgrace particularly as they were notified within minutes in writing of the change in time via email. I am sympathetic to the changes in flights for balooning etc because of weather but this cannot be at the sole discretion of the company. In short, I wouldn't bother booking with them as they can change things how they want to and will just take your money and provide no benefit. Before writing this review I wrote to the company if they would reconsider to which they are yet to respond. Yet again ignoring correspondence. I suggest paying a little more and going with a more professional outfit.

I do not think we will ever be able to use our vouchers as they seem to keep cancelling flights constantly.

had a fantastic flight from Exeter today with Aerosaurus Balloon Flights.. The whole experience was great from the moment i arrived at 6am helping inflate the envelope (balloon ) to the flight with Arthur as our pilot and ground crew Andy and the lady whose name I forget but was strong as an ox for a woman of small stature and getting on in years. The flight was smooth and peaceful and very informative.. taking in the beautiful Devonshire countryside and coast of Exmouth and Exeter .. Only nown side was the very bumpy landing but given the farmland to choose from i guess it is par for the course.. all in all it was a memorable day and one i won't ever forget.. Thanks Aerosaurus x

I booked a balloon flight for myself and my wife last year. Following a cardiac arrest and subsequent heart operations, my wife could not avail herself of the flight on medical advice. South West Balloon Flights extended the end date of our ticket and were very accommodating on receipt of appropriate medical documents. Due to operations being cancelled by the hospital and the lack of critical care beds, time passed. I then realised the extended end date of our ticket had ran out by two weeks (understandable due to the turmoil we were in). We duly contacted them again and explained the situation. This time however, we were told that we should have provided further medical documents before the new expiry date or have made at least 2 attempts to fly before the extended date, so have lost the balloon flight! We were not asking for a refund, or for something that we were not entitled to, just simply the trip we had paid for.

Magical experience floating wheresoever the thermals took us, even higher than the clouds into the gloriously blue, blue sky and late sunshine. Lovely evening flight looked after by highly experienced pilot Arthur Street and slick Ground crew. Exciting to see patchwork fields, livestock and rivers around ancient township of Launceston. Thrilling experience with descent when we were blown along at great speed then before landing when we had to gain height very quickly to avoid giant wind turbine. I felt safe at all times even though I usually hate heights! Every part of the procedures was explained. Great feeling of privilege to be able to share this crews passion and I long to fly again. Wear good walking shoes, warm clothing and a hat.
