Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In my opinion, this is the only nice part of Exeter city centre (excluding the cathedral area).

This was my first time in the city and it was run down, with dodgy people all around. Seeing people take drugs on a busy street at 11am on a Sunday is shocking!!!

I found your car park a discrace . With all the money you receive for car parking you think you could afford to clean it maybe a lick of paint. Sticking of urine. And very dirty £4for 3 hours. Really. You should take a look at green lanes car park. Very clean and tidy and no urine smell. Get a grip.

A very pleasant shopping area in the heart of Exeter. Around 65 stores in this fairly new area, including decent branches of Debenhams & John Lewis. There is also ample parking,.

So next door to the historic part of Exeter is this shiny part. I hope this was unused ground, and nothing historic was removed. Nothing special inside, the usual chains. But if you are looking for somewhere to sit with a drink, this is OK. Best part is the start of the city walls. Once you are done, continue to look around the historic part.

The car park is quite uninviting and dirty, the shopping centre itself is alright but nothing stood out to me in particular. This was my first visit to Exeter and I must say I found it a bit run down and grey. Princesshayes is a decent shopping centre, but not the best.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your thoughts. We're saddened to hear that you felt the car park to be quite uninviting and dirty - our team spend a great amount of effort maintaining Princesshay and so we'd be very interested to know when you visited so we could look into this further. Thanks

Lots of empty shops and rubbish everywhere. Exeter is not a nice place in general based on my experience, lots of drug use in the centre at all hours. It feels sinister. Will never return.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We are truly saddened by your feedback here as our team work incredibly hard to keep Princesshay and its surroundings looking clean & tidy; a welcoming location to visit, for example at present we have many floral displays brightening the area. We are sorry you have taken a dislike to Exeter and would be very keen to know a little more as to when you visited, and the areas where rubbish was found so we can check these and look into these issues further. We operate a 24-hr security team who are always on hand for any antisocial issues and support all visitors to the centre.

Please give more parking, your profits will only increase in proportion and people will spend more time in store.

Princesshay in the centre of Exeter is a Shoppers Delight and in December Heaven for those wanting to do their shopping without travelling too far. Plenty of Shops for you to spend your hard earned cash in and enough variations to suit all requirements. Plenty of Food & Drink establishments to keep you fuelled on your marathon shop. Parking is available and Princesshay has its own Free WiFi.
