We called the taxi company from our hotel and they arrived within 5mins. Driver was friendly and reasonable priced fare. We used the taxi company again the same day, going into the office to book. Staff were helpful and polite. Taxi arrived at time advised & again, taxi driver was friendly and chatty. I’d pre booked a taxi and was worried that finally landing 11.30pm there would be little hope of getting home. I was so surprised on landing to receive a message saying the driver was waiting outside. That made the long delay bearable. £17 for a 9 minute drive... absolutely disgusting that they charge double for bigger car despite us being all from the same household. Absolutely despicable behaviour from a well valued firm that I would always go to before this. Will never be returning to book a taxi from Apple taxi and will be telling all friends not to go near this firm after the disgraceful customer service given to me tonight, hung up on twice by the ‘manager’ I would be embarrassed to have employees like the ones displayed from the Exeter office tonight. Just not the behaviour you expect from a member of staff, I will never be returning here and am absolutely gobsmacked that you employ people capable of being as rude as possible as tonight.

I booked an 8 seater people carrier for a journey from the University to the Cathedral at 9.30 on Sunday morning. Taxi didn’t arrive. At 9.34 I rang. They said the people carrier was not available (notwithstanding they had accepted my booking the previous evening). I then said send two saloon cars instead. I was promised they would be with me in 5 mins. They kept promising “just 5 minutes away”. After this catalogue of lies they told me at 10.10 they had no cars. I was kept on the phone for 30 mins, spending a small fortune on calls. We missed the cathedral service. It caused me huge embarrassment with American visitors. No apology. No compensation. These people are dishonest cowboys. You would have to be mad to book a taxi with them. I shall be writing to Exeter City Council recommending the withdrawal of their taxi licence.

Researching says that Apple Taxi's are the official Taxi Company of Exeter Airport, this is from the Apple Taxi Website "Exeter International Airport Taxis – We are extremely proud to be Exeter International Airport’s official taxi company. We have a walk in office located in the arrivals building which is manned 24/7 and we always have a minimum of 6 cars on site for the arrival of every flight (day & night)."
Arriving at Exeter Airport the desk is unmanned except for cards with a phone number. No taxi's waiting outside either. Phoning the number for Apple Taxi on the card, was disconnected twice and the third time I was told the taxi would be 20 minutes. Some 25+ minutes later one arrived. The driver was very polite and well attired.

i went into the office in july and ordered an 8 seater taxi for 5am 18th october to exeter airport for 6 people. i also went in the week before the 18th to confirm everything was still ok and was told yes an 8 seater will pick you up as required . come the 18th at 5am we were waiting and a car pulled onto our drive. the driver was surprised when he saw all the cases and we told him we had ordered an 8 seater ages ago. his car was a 5 seater. with a squeeze and a push we managed to cram the car full and went to the airport. grateful as we were to get there in time the driver charged us the 8 seater price for the journey which we had to pay. we were not happy. then on our return to exeter on 25th we had the same arrangement for the trip home. our flight was an hour late getting in and there was no car waiting for us. on speaking to bee cars they claimed that someone had turned up but as we werent there they left. i challenged that statement and asked if they checked incoming flights for arrival times. oh no , we cant do that was the answer i got. anyway we ordered a 5 seater taxi to take 4 of us to my home then i drove to the airport to collect my wife and her sister who had stayed behind. i explained the whole situation to the driver of the cab that took 4 of us home who was appalled by the story i told him and confirmed that they do indeed check incoming flight times in order to be there on time. so the office had lied to me. i told him i would never use apple taxis again which he understood the reasons for but never again means never again so thats it as far as im cocerned. beware you have been warned

If I could give them zero, I would. They tried pretty hard to ruin our wedding day. Pretty much everything was wrong. They turned up at the registry office (two prepaid cars) and (cos we were running a few minutes late) drove off without telling us they were there. We had told them when we booked that we were happy to pay for them to wait, since we didn’t know exactly when the ceremony would end. They didn’t come back to collect us for a long, long time (45 mins to an hour , making us very late for our celebration lunch, which meant we had to gobble it down in order to be out of the room in time for the next guests. They were then meant to collect 10 of us to take us to catch a train (all of which was made clear when we booked), but arrived so late we missed the train. In the end the nice pub landlord and one of his customers ferried us to the station. Pretty awful. We were shocked and upset.

booked a taxi using the Apple taxi app. I waited for over 15 minutes after the arrival time, then rang the office where a recorded message told me my taxi 'would be with me shortly'. After another 10 minutes, I rang again, but held on for the operator. I explained that my taxi was now over 20 minutes late and she said that they were actually fully booked and that if I wanted to book at peak time, I should not have used the App. When I said that perhaps they should make that clear on the App and not allow people to book through it if they were actually fully booked, she just said in a sing-song voice that she would cancel my taxi, then hung up! Quite funny, actually, had I not then been massively late for work!

Booked taxi for 9.30pm online, estimated price £13.
9.36pm still no taxi so I ring up to chase. Told it’ll be a few minutes…
9.49pm I ring again and am told “taxi arrived 9.35pm and waited for 5mins before driving off…” funny we didn’t get told that at 9.36pm (as per my call log) that he was sat waiting outside.
Rebooked taxi and told 1010pm. Text message arrived to say it’s outside but it wasn’t.
Driver rang and finally located us.
A less than 10 minute drive late at night took 20 because the driver didn’t know where he was going.
I can’t believe this is the same company that my father in law regularly uses for business!!

We asked for a taxi from Exeter court hotel to the racecourse and did get a taxi reluctantly but it was the return that was the issue.
We were dropped off at 3.45pm and asked the driver if we could book a return but was advised to call the office, which we did asking for a taxi for 7.30pm.
A young lady said we could not prebook until 8.45pm (last race was 7.40pm) but we could prebook at taxi rank, we couldn’t then leave the enclosure at this point.
We called again at 6.30pm and was told there would be plenty of taxis waiting and no need to book.
We left after the 7.10pm race and no taxis, I telephoned again and was on the phone for 11 minutes. I kept being told that they could help and to wait a minute and had to repeat several times where we were going, how many passengers and how we were paying. They then wanted to charge £25 for a 2 mile journey and wanted card payment up front but couldn’t say when a taxi would arrive. We were happy to pay if it meant us not being stranded but I kept being put on hold.
Thankfully a very kind security/car
Park marshall came to our rescue and arranged for a taxi to take us back to our hotel for £11.
The service was appalling and I would never use this company again.

Sunday 17.09.23 I accepted what was a very high quote of £19 for a 2.5mile (6 minute) trip because I needed to get my friend who has mobility issues home in a hurry. They were available in 5 mins which was great and I prepared to pay by card over the phone. After keeping me on hold for a while the operator announced that actually I could pay the driver directly. When the driver showed up within the 5 mins as promised he required a payment of £37. I was shocked and angry but he had me over a barrel so I paid. I am still furious and now trying unsuccessfully to contact the company to complain .

APPALLING SERVICE - per booked a taxi 31st July to take us to a restaurant taxi didn’t show up after 15 mins called Apple Central to be told the day staff had over booked the evening staff were just coming on duty and would be with us in 10 / 15 mins ??? 20 mins later still no taxi! Called the office once again to then be told the outward Taxi had not been booked ! If that was the case why was I not told that in the beginning???? this company are utterly incompetent this is not the first time my friends and family have had problems with taxis not arriving ? What I find even more annoying is the office staff don’t even have the courtesy to keep the customer updated .
Come on North Somerset Council it is high time this problem is addressed as you provide the licence for them to operate ……. bring on Uber… far more reliable
