I've been to this venue many times over the last 15 years, from when I lived in Newport and now when I'm residing in Plymouth. It has a wonderful, friendly feel to it and the staff are always helpful. The venue is sort of split in two, with the bar and area with tables on one side of a wall... More

Went for a night out with friends. Was assaulted by door staff without reason or explanation. Attempted to get in touch with management with regards to this incident, with no success. Rude staff, negligent management... avoid at all costs! Drink prices are expensive, selection is limited, music makes up in volume what it lacks in quality.

We came across The Cavern completely by accident & decided to try the lunch here as my daughter is vegan. The lunch deal is excellent value, you get a vegan or veggie burger, chips, salad & a shake for £6! We rolled out after our lunch as we were so stuffed.

Lunch with other half in the Cavern. It was fab! Nightclub turns into veggie cafe during the day, with very reasonably priced, good old fashioned lunch and breakfast menu: eg Big veggie breakfast £4.50, Fairtrade Tea £1.10. Obviously this is a music venue/bar at night, so it's dark and pub-like, but we weren't looking for wow factor. Staff were friendly,... More

Best place to go out in Exeter. Really good if you like indie music, fairly priced drinks and lively atmosphere. Good crowd of people and plays good events.

Went to the Cavern to see Walter Schreifels from Rival Schools play their debut album United By Fate in its entirety. Acoustically. Venue's cool, pokey alternative, and just as I like it. Not a great selection of beers on tap, but prices a lot better than the usual Academy Music Group venues, so not so bad. Great atmosphere, friendly staff,... More

Went to see a band here, The staff are very friendly & the drinks are very reasonably priced. Great atmosphere & a Good gig venue. it's down some stairs (hence the cavern) seems to be popular with students & people in their 20s/30's . I'm 50 but i didn't feel out of place. A warm welcome for all at the... More

Such a fantastic place to visit for a night out with friends, particularly on Saturday's for Indie disco night- perfect for small and large groups and the drinks are reasonably priced with £3.30 house doubles A great underground venue with immense personality, and i can imagine it being a fantastic place for live performances which i will hopefully experience in...
