Although we had known of it's existence before visiting Exeter, a visit to the museum was not one of our priorities. Consequently, when we found it and decided to make a quick visit, what we found caused us to regret that we had left only one hour to look around. The Museum is well set out and contains enough exhibits... More

Took our 3 & 5 yr old grandchildren for a couple of hours. They got quite absorbed in studying the exhibitions especially the animals and some of the "scare ray" costumes. They enjoyed the special bags for children to carry around with things to do. They also enjoyed an area set aside for drawing and playing. We will certainly take... More

I’ve only been here once, so I have some regrets, Because it’s full of cool stuff and random objects. I need to go back, it’s not stuffy or a bore, It has art, antiques, nature and more! Sometimes they have music, concerts and shows, How many museums have these strings to their bow? It’s closed Mondays so don’t turn up... More

I remember this as a very young boy and it has just got better. Educational and easy to view. Well laid out and so much to see. This is a hidden jewel of the City Centre with some much else to explore around it. The best bit is -its for free.

Stumbled across the museum on a weekend trip to Exeter. It was a lovely way to spend an hour. The museum is free and beautifully laid out. Very organised and modern.

So fantastic to have a place like this that doesn't come with a price tag. Really interesting collections, loads of variety so something for everyone. My only recommendation would be for the info about numbered exhibitions to be closer to the relevant item - I spend quite a bit of time hunting for the right write up.

We visited as a friend group. The museum is brilliant, lots to see and do. They have made a excellent job with it. Highly recommend to anyone who visits or is local to Exeter.

Great little museum with so so much to see considering it's a small city. Great interactive stations throughout. It's also had a recent facelift a couple years ago. They request a small donation on entry but when I went it was free. The kids love it and you can see most things in a couple of hours so you can... More
