Bike and paddlesports hire centre, plus bike sales & repairs, on Exeter quay. Pedal from the city to the seaside or paddle to the pub! Easy, relaxing, outdoor fun for all ages, with bike, canoe, kayak and SUP hire. We're on Exeter's historic quayside - popular for it's fascinating history, interesting architecture and independent shops - an easy 10 min walk from the city centre. Open 9am to 6pm, with bike hire 9.30am to 5.30pm and boat hire 10am to 5pm. Closed Wednesdays in winter (Nov-Apr) in term time.

Always do a great job quick servicing take it in the morning done by a few hours and there open on Sundays lovely staff

Well, they seem friendly enough, but seem to have no understanding of electricity; an ebike without it's battery is no different than a usual bike. Yet, they refused to service my estarli 20.8 because it's an ebike.....all I wanted was my derailleur adjusted - nothing to do with electricity!
So, even though I explained the situation to the individual on the phone, I was told to bring it in - 'no problem'!
So, I got up at 6 in the morning to get to the shop right when they opened at 9 - only to be sent to HARDYS CYCLES.
Hopefully, they will be able to fix my derailleur.
Either way, they seem nice enough, yet one guy acting like sendinge elsewhere was doing me a favour.
3 hours of my life wasted. In future, they need to make it ABUNDANTLY CLEAR that they don't work on ebikes.

Thank you to Harry and the team for our fantastic work team build last month for 18 people We were looking for a fun but not too strenuous evenings activity so six three man canoes and a couple of hours paddling with a stop in the pub to refresh ourselves was perfect. Thanks also for being flexible on the timings - much appreciated. Not sure you arranged the glorious weather and sunset but we had a great time.

Really super day out, will definitely book again! It was beautiful and good value for money.
Lovely peaceful paddle which wasn’t hard work with a stop off at the pub for lunch before paddling back!

We hired two bikes today and cannot recommend this company highly enough.
They are professional, friendly and informative. The bikes are comfortable, well maintained and easy to ride. Despite having a slight hiccup with the chain the mechanic was sent out within an hour with a replacement bike.
Even though they did not need to they refunded us for the inconvenience and they couldn’t do enough to make our day special. We would not have any hesitation in recommending this family run company to our family and friends.
We will definitely be using this company again when in Exeter.
Thank you again, we had a throughly enjoyable day.

This morning I bought my new Raleigh e bike through these guys as I was after customer service and insight whilst keeping the business local, a wise decision.
The patience, practical advice and genuine desire to help was evident. The comprehensive shop is set into the wonderful cellars down on the quay, a joy.
I will be back to see Heather and her team soon for its first service.

Heather, Harry and the team couldn't be more knowledgeable, helpful or friendly. I recommend hiring paddleboards/kayaks/canoes from Saddles & Paddles to anyone asking for activity ideas when visiting Exeter!

So friendly and professional, assisted with my sons punctured tyre and even let us borrow a courtesy bike. Highly knowledgeable and would recommend and tourist & locals to use their excellent business!!

Friendly people, nice bikes, great cycle pathways.
Hired bikes today and enjoyed the ride from Exeter to exmouth via the cycleways and a ferry.
Would recommend if wanting bikes while in the area.

I've used Saddles and Paddles many times for both bike rentals and for bike maintenance. I have always found them to be really friendly and professional and competitively priced. They will go out of their way to help if they can.
They are a good reliable local independent business, I would happily go here rather than to one of the faceless national outlets.
Keep doing the good work there, I hope you'll be there to fix my bike for years to come!
