Not a lot really it's a lot easier than walking up or down view is ok, more of a functional way to get up the hill rather than an attraction to visit

We walked sour way into Lynmouth from Lynton and enjoyed a couple of hours in the harbor and along the river. Afterwards we took the railway to go back. Very friendly attendants and funny nice ride on top of the hill with a stunning view.

Do not miss the opportunity to experience this waterpowered funicular cliff lift. Very affordable return ticket with time to explore either Lynton and Lynmouth before taking the return trip. Interesting street market at the top with lovely coffee stops and quirky shops.

There's something about a cliff railway that manages to be charming and quirky and historical all at once. Visited this on a really rainy day but just the sight of it amid the cheery bunting was enough to put a smile on my face. It's...More

This was lovely and so unexpected. Steep railway but brilliant how it was done.... we had coffee in town at the top, then down in the railway, chips by the sea and back up for a long cool drink... brilliant. Enjoyed every minute. Even met...More

There is coach parking in Lynton and Lynmouth but there is a short walk. The operators will advise you of any rates. for 100 would probably take 5 - 6 journeys due to the lift size.
