Really pleasant place to visit whilst down at the Barbican. It isn't very big and won't take up much time, however has a nice hidden quality to it and for free , you can't really complain

Love it here, so lovely. Like a hidden teasure. beautiful in the spring and summer with all the flowers, especially on a sunny day or a summers evening stroll. Sometimes you can be surrounded by people and sometimes you can have the whole place to...More

We went out of our way to seek out this little city garden. Although I can't imagine lingering here for longer than 15 minutes, it is a nice breather from the narrow streets and it is a shortcut from one level of the city to...More

The little garden is a gem in the Barbican area. There are hardly any people and it offers the perfect place to enjoy reading a book or to just walk around the little paradise.

We found this by accident - it is up a little side alley on the Barbican in Plymouth. But it is worth looking for. Pleasant little gardens, and a cracker of a tea room. Will definitely go again when in Plymouth. Away from the madding...More

I was expecting much more from this place, as it is very highly rated here. I was very disappointed when I visited it.

It came through here last summer. It's good to walk and rest awhile here. Maybe to think what old gardens may have been like. I doubt whether anything on this scale could have been in this dense residential setting. I also wonder why those who...More

Not well known and strangely hardly publicised. Very close to Sutton Harbour. Pleasant area to stroll or sit but beware the officious police Community Support Officers who I have seen and who I am told patrol frequently and seize anything suspected of being alcohol. Take...More

It's free and it's a very peaceful place to sit or wander so this is not a complaint or downbeat review. I just wonder why it is called 'Elizabethan'? It is mostly stone walls and slabs. It is strangely laid out on several levels. There...More

There are lots of stone stairs and some water. Is there any public liability insurance or any regard to basic health and safety?

There are small vantage points top and bottom where you can see some of the garden and stonework without actually getting further in. I'm not sure who owns or runs this place but it seems that they either paid little regard... More
